Move to GitHub (2016)
As we mentioned earlier this year, we will be making adjustments to the way we do future development with the goal of better transparency, more community involvement, and faster turnaround times. The biggest change here will be our move to GitHub later next year. This change will provide the community with a more direct avenue for impacting the direction of the project.
GC Name Contest
One of the top requests we've received is the addition of new full-sized galactic conquest map where each player starts with a single planet. Since this was something that came about as a result of community input, we figured it would be appropriate to let you decide the title of this new GC map. Let us know in the comments section, below, and we'll select the title that has received the most votes/support (weighted by time added to give everyone an opportunity to submit a suggestion).

It's simple and gets the point across... And it also kinda sounds cool.
I agree with "From Ashes". It sounds good.

From THE Ashes seems to make more grammatical sense
And I REALLY regretted not typing that about an hour after I wrote my suggestion.
That being said, "From Ashes" isn't that bad grammatically... kinda.
Either way this title has to be used lol
From Ashes makes total grammatical sense, don't feel bad. Its a pretty cool name

I have some questions about the new GC. Will the other planets be populated by a third faction like Nal Hutta is currently? If so, will their fleets/armies be balanced as well?
Yes. There will be an "hostile" faction. With enemy Units. The amount of ships increases by Planet reveal iteration. The AI also has to fight against this Units.
However whether we bring that in final version or just leave all the planets unpopulated will be decided after some tests

After you are done working on Republic At War, is there any chance of giving Forces of Corruption a remake to make it more similar to Republic at War?

you don't have to but If you can you add admiral trench he has the same ship a grievous mandalore deathwatch and some admirals from clone wars like yularen Kilian and others Again you dont have to but do it only if you can

Hey guys! Great mod btw, absolutely love it! However when i start getting into the GC, i will randomly get an Exeception error. I have the Steam Version with all the updates. I've reinstalled everything but still have the problem. Can anybody help? Thanks.
Does it crash immediately when you launch GC or after you've been playing for awhile?

"Precipice of War" seems like a good name for the new map, considering that starting with one planet implies that the galaxy isn't yet in conflict, but will be very shortly.
How about "Across the Stars" for the new scenario?
Could call it "One Must Fall" since there is a big chance for that, for one of the sides.
Here are some more suggestions, "One Shall Fall", "One Will Fall", "A Burning Desire", "Into The Ashes", Across the Galaxy" "Across The Systems", hope you don't mind i'm borrowing "Across The" but that's the suggestions i made up this time, the 2 last with a little help though.

I play the republic in galectic conquest and I have 2 problems.
1) after tech level 4 I can't build phase one trooper, why?
2) I'm at tech level 4, I have a level 5 space station in bespin and I can't build venator , it's same at tech level 5 for the victory.
Tech level 5 is meant to represent the last year (or so) of the Clone Wars. Phase 1 Armour was replaced (I really wanted to say 'phased out') by Phase 2, hence why you can't build Phase 1 units anymore.
Bespin isn't a capital ship planet. It is the same with Corulag and Ord Mantell (and others that the Seppies control).
Proposing a name for the 1-planet GC, I have several candidates:
- From the ground up
- Equal beginning
- Star by Star
Star by Star would be a great name for a Yuuzhan Vong mod :D
