Days before Christmas, our team is proud to announce the release of Cold Ice Remastered Beta 3! Four months after the last Beta launch, our vision of a graffiti winter wonderland in Goldsrc is closer to reality. Beta 3 is now available for download. Please pick it up and join our Discord!
Cold Ice Remastered Beta 3 contains all Beta 2 goodies with many additions. It has ten new maps, including fresh reskins of classic maps such as gasworks (chillworks), subtransit (snowtransit), frenzy (frosty), and some original maps, including themill and frozenwarehouse.
We introduce thirty new mutators that spice up the play for pure fun. Some of our favorites are volatile (blow up on death), pushy (weapons punch you back), chumxplode (chumtoads spawn on explosions), rocketcrowbar, santahat (where players wear Santa hats!), coolflesh (where you can eat gibs) and many more!
Included with this release, we have five new gameplay modes. Apart from traditional deathmatch, we created one vs. one arena, where you go head to head with an opponent. Iceman arena, where everyone teams up to defeat a terrible monster. Last Man Standing, where you must survive a fight to the death. And Snowball Arena, where all weapons are snowballs and grenades!
In addition to all the gameplay, we have three new weapons: a rocketcrowbar, dual railguns, and the gravity gun that slings flaming barrels. We have plenty of new parkour elements, including wall climb, crate climbing, and body flips for assault on your opponents. Killing spree announcements like Unreal Tournament. All this, plus support for single players and many bug fixes from beta 2, make this release ultra-stable!
And finally, we added snow to all your old HLDM map nostalgia. Liminal and cool, and place that Santa cap on!
