Beta V2 Install Guide
-------------------------------
1.) Download the file.
2.)Extract the Contents of The Beta into C:\Program Files\sierra\Homeworld2\Data
3.)go to your desktop, right click on the Homeworld 2 icon, select properties. Now you will see a target line (it's the top one)
4. At the end of the target line Put a space, then type "-Overridebigfile"
There are no quotes, Now you target line should look like this
"C:\Program Files\sierra\Homeworld2\Bin\Release\Homeworld2.exe" -overridebigfile
5. You should have Winrar or a similar program that can extract rar content. You should have the homeworld 2 1.1 update. You need a PC for now. You MUST have Homeworld 2!
Known bugs: For some people, there aren't textures
Ships are apparently invisible for a few people.
Major lag- This is not due to high polygon counts, this build does not contain the high polygon meshes that've been made recently. Here is the Fix- go in leveldata\multiplayer and delete deathmatch.lua
If you're still experiencing lag Let us know

how do i fix the problem were it sends me back to the desktop while it loads the game when i play as unsc or covenant

Hi Hi I would just like to ask how to tweak the damage a little because I think its a bit strange having the Combat Frigate doing 401 dps and the strike frigate doing about 2300 dps and both the same price !
Please Advice !!
The Strike frigate has missiles, MAC, and a Several AA/Anti ship cannons

Is there anything else for the Combat Frigate ? I know its a beta but some of the ships are unbalanced, also since its not certain that the mod will come back on, is there anyway to change the damage per second for different ships.
There is, Though I don't know What it is, I'll ask our scripter(rapid) later today.
You guys can change The speed, price of the ship. if you go to the SHIP file
Yer also I would like to ask what the usc_hgn_carrier file is because is that hinting that there is a carrier for the UNSC because I can't find it on build menu !!!!!

how much lag were you experiencing, do you normally have lag issues when playing without a mod? are you sure you deleted it?

I can't play as the Covenant in Skirmish mode. Is there a reason or is the covenant just not a part of the beta? I would appreciate any responses sent to my email

I have followed the instructions perfectly I have the latest update and a disk copy of the game( original) but when I go to open the launcher I just goes to the normal "home-world 2"title screen.? please help.
