Half-Life 2: Google Translate Edition is still a thing!

Posted by on

What happened?

Simply put: I've stopped working on the mod for a while. Due to a mix of life issues, procrastination and laziness the project went on hiatus for a while, and I sincerely apologize for that. However, work hasn't fully stopped thanks to BinkusTheTrinkus, who has been doing important work behind the scenes to at least not let the mod die. Now it's hopefully going to get even better as I'm planning to finish this once and for all.

Any release date?

We decided that it's best not to say any date until we are basically done. I can tell you that at this point we aren't far from finishing, but there's still a lot to iron out (namely lip-syncing and textures). We also have switched around Voice Actors for some roles, so we're still getting our bearings on what is done and has yet to be done in terms of in-game dialogue. Personally, I hope we can get this done by the end of 2022, however this DOES NOT mean it will necessarily happen.

Meanwhile, you can download Lost Coast GTE on this page

Is there any way to contact you?

Sure there is! Me and Binkus made a small Discord server for the whole GTE project, you can find it here.
We may also use it to upload quick sneak peeks like these

That's about it for now, so see you whenever we have anything noteworthy of an article!

The mod is out now, though on a different ModDB page. You can download it here: Moddb.com
