No, that's someone else that's making a new game in the unity engine based off this. (Unfortunately they couldn't call it SW:EAW unity as they had originally planned, it's now called: Rulers of the Galaxy.) although it's been a while since the last update.
I wonder how the vong might protect themselves from this smoking hot beauty...
in all fairness this is a brilliant model and the things that this mod and other mods have done or yet to be done just blow my mind. I am still amazed that people play and mod this considering this game has been out for 7 ish years. Well done chaps :)
It is the only game ever to give both ground and space combat. Homeworld 2 still has an active modding community also, and that game is still incredible to play.
Until something better is made, we will be here creating the best we can with what is available. Thank you petroglyph for making this game mod friendly.

Actually, that's a good point, the Vong defenses are based on creating powerful gravitation fields, not a very good defense against a sun, how will that work? I guess the Vong will just have to rely on stronger hulls and regeneration.
unfortunatly i fear with EA we won't get any good SW RTS like EaW anytime soone... (i'm just being pessimistc) the last good RTS from EA which i remember is the BfME series... and the addon to the second one was screwed up royaly in terms of balancing and gameplay... the only reason i still play it from time to time is the Edain Mod... but hope dies last... darn it.. i wished i could make my ideas for a SW RTS as well as a RPG reality...^^ just sayin'
