The Allies and the Soviets have rearmed with new weapons of war, each poised to destroy the other. Two ideological opponents, eight world powers - only one world to command and conquer.

Just a quick bump to say the mod's alive and I've got a big image to prove it. What's more the release date for a multiplayer beta has been set for the Ides of March, so take a look at what that'll include.

News #3

Jesus the last news was nearly a year ago now, when did that happen?! Well the mod has been very much alive during that period, I've been constantly amending and tweaking the mod trying to make the experience as rounded as possible. Yes progress has been slow but it's only a mod, a hobby and I am now very busy indeed. Just to show the mod is still kicking however I've uploaded a big image of a staged battle to overthrow Yuri's villainous underhanded involvement in the Soviet Union (click to go to image):

Hope you enjoy it! If I had two monitors that could be pretty fun to look at...

The Ides of March

So as I mentioned in the summary Red-Resurrection will make it's first release (regardless of readiness) on the 13th March 2012. This will be a multiplayer release only, meaning skirmish and online multiplayer but no campaign. This is what you get:

  • The full two sides, Allies and Soviets, each with four playable multiplayer countries: United Kingdom, France, Germany, Greece, USSR, Yugoslavia, Libya and Iraq.
  • Each country will come with one unique unit and two units shared with one other country from that side.
  • Virtually every unit is replaced! Although the style is very much 'Yuri's Revenge' both factions have almost completely replaced arsenals allowing a greater degree of control over balance, factional differences and potential strategies and tactics.

So look forward to that. After the first release I will definately support the mod with frequent updates if bugs and balance reports are made and will continue on developing the singleplayer aspect.
Until next time (sooner than a year I promise) thanks very much and I hope to see you on the battlefield on March 13th!
