X4 Legacy Music mod for X4: Foundations

I saw X Rebirth Ambient Music mod on Nexus and decided to try it. When I looked inside of the mod files I actually changed my mind because I saw the gameripped music in .xwma and awful 96 kbps quality (or something like that) as X Rebirth provided. Not to mention that X Rebirth OST has much more divine music that wasn't included in that mod or the game itself.

This all inspired me to make this mod with the best X-clusive selection of X-tracks for you. The X4: Foundations ambient music tracks have a very distinct style - slow, spacey and ethereal, slightly muffled and reverbing, with gentle synths and no or very mild percussion. The XR music blends good with this style unlike some of the tracks from earlier games like X3, X2 or X-Tension which are a whole other animal. Because of this stylistic variety I decided to create various music packs for differing player tastes.

Contains XR, XRVR and X4 music including OST tracks not present in-game in .ogg-356 quality where possible* (in-game music is .ogg-350).

1-a Randomized - random tracks are played in each sector
1-b Randomized | X4NDA - same but is used with my X4 No Dark Ambient mod that removes "zoned sounds"; the playlist tweaks remove sector music jittering when it is ending

1-c Sector specific - each sector has a unique specified track selection
1-d Sector specific | X4NDA - same but is used with X4NDA...

Basic plus stylistically fitting X-Tension, X2 and X3 music** - all strong percussion or fast tracks were left out for better X4 match.

3-a Randomized - random tracks are played in each sector
3-b Randomized | X4NDA - same but is used with my X4 No Dark Ambient mod that removes "zoned sounds"; the playlist tweaks remove sector music jittering when it is ending

3-c Randomized | XT - random tracks are played in each sector; X-Tension tracks are added to playlist
3-d Randomized | XT | X4NDA - same but is used with X4NDA...

3-e Randomized | 2x X2-X3 - random tracks are played in each sector; X2/X3 tracks play 2x more often
3-f Randomized | 2x X2-X3 | X4NDA - same but is used with X4NDA...

3-g Randomized | 2x XT-X2-X3 - random tracks are played in each sector; X-Tension tracks are added to playlist; X-Tension/X2/X3 tracks play 2x more often
3-h Randomized | 2x XT-X2-X3 | X4NDA - same but is used with X4NDA...

Extended plus everything from X2 and X3** that was cut out (X-Tension/X2 combat tracks not included).

Completely replaces all in-game music with tracks from X-Tension and X2 (if I will manage to change default X4 suspense music loop time I will add Omicron Lyrae loops from last X2 mission as a suspense music replacement).

Very special versions of Basic, Extended and Full packs with removed menu tracks and music recoded to .ogg-192 quality or lower**.

* My source tracks from X Rebirth Volume 2 are in .mp3-320, Teladi Outpost and Home Of Light in .mp3-192 because I unfortunately don't have lossless versions of those albums. If you have those, feel free to contact me so that I can update corresponding mod tracks to .ogg-356.
**Some X2 and X3 tracks were never released in OSTs and are avaliable only in gamerip quality which varies from 320 to 128.

1. Completely delete previous version of the mod if there is such.
2. Extract "Legacy_Music" folder from archive into [X4 root folder]\Extensions\.
3. Extract a desired playlist file "sound_library.xml" from archive "!Playlists" folder into [X4 root folder]\Extensions\Legacy_Music\libraries\.
4. Make sure you don't use any other music mods that alter "sound_library.xml" (including any other X4LM pack) because they won't work together without a compatibility patch. Only those playlists that start with a same digit are interchangeable.
5. Make sure mod is enabled in extensions menu (usually it is by default).
6. Have fun, it's mandatory.

• All planned packs have been released.
• Steam workshop versions will be on the way as soon as workshop itself is launched.

• You can expect future mod improvements like game and addon compatibility patches, updating quality of some tracks if possible, improved and new playlists, track volume tweaks if needed and etc.
• Negotiations with Daniel D. Finney, outstanding composer of X-Tended, X3TC and some XR tracks, are currently underway to obtain lossless versions of his X3TC and XR works as well as permission to include those in X4LM. Currently all of his X3TC works are being used in X4LM, although some in gamerip quality. His XR works are available only in pretty low quality from his Soundcloud page or XR game files so they are not included... yet... hopefully.
• I am looking forward to getting the elusive lossless versions of XR Volume 2, Teladi Outpost and Home Of Light OSTs to update corresponding track quality in X4LM.
