::RELEASED:: A new single player episodic linear campaign expansion mod for Dawn of War: Soulstorm that aims to put the literature, lore and stories back into the games as well as introducing new Eldar characters. As a single player campaign, it aims to use mostly native assets and concentrate on a thrilling and unpredictable campaign with branching narratives and a brand new story introduced into the world of Warhammer 40,000. The demo of the campaign has now been replaced with Episodes 1 and 2 of the full campaign. May 2021: The campaign has been indefinitely halted due to other work. Thank you all for sampling the mod - I love you all. Any language variations and additions to the campaign is allowed and apologies for not releasing the additional content. Any request for code for the game in terms of how to separate quests by game actions or just in general is welcome. Thank you all for playing Enter Phoenix.
New voices for Celanae and original music for Enter Phoenix. A few more things I need to iron out for Eldar voices (as they are the supposed protagonists) so please give any criticism, good or bad as they have been hard to get right.
Also previewed is a track written by Niall Robertson and mixed by myself to represent Celanae's journey into madness. Let me know what you think.
cool +100500 =)
A bit more urgency in the Farseer's voice would be perfect for what she is saying. Since I'm guessing that they are preparing for the Orks to attack.
Both the sample comments in the video are actually said in moments of relative peace and not in battle; the first when the Orks stop attacking and then she finally gets her reinforcements and the second when you complete the mission and have already annihilated the Orks :).
Ah. I see. I played that demo and it was a pain trying to fight that many Orks with only Guardians, even with the Spiders appearing as reinforcements.
It's coming along marvelously and I hope it isn't to far off being released.
Haha, yeah the demo came about as I remember someone mentioning, "What's the point of Guardians?". So I made them relevant. Don't worry though, the campaign has all your faves and more but each mission will certainly not let you pick an entire army until later. Striking Scorpions get a look in, for example.
Glad you're enjoying the progress. Stay tuned.
Striking Scorpions are my favorite Aspect Warrior. Now I'm even more hyped for this.
Mandiblaster attack (and recharge :( ) included but working on how to get the infiltration more like the original DOW rather than the DC/SS version. a five man squad of Striking Scorpions annihilates a 10 man squad of Dark Eldar Warriors within 15 seconds so I'm just working on not making them OP.
You could make it that they infiltrate when staying still, to work in fluff wise where it says they can fit into almost any spot for an ambush.
