Description

All functions can now be triggered by keyboard shortcuts, as shown by the labels added on their respective slices; these are transparent enough to be almost unnoticeable. An X) shortcut and a highlighting disk has been added to the Exit button as well.

As shown at the screenshot, the mouse pointer should no longer highlight the wrong slice. The fix was contributed by Ladez, an experienced mod author and a great supporter of my mod at its early stages. Thanks buddy :)

All strings are formatted to match active and non-active elements and to fit in the bottom slice. This was especially important when an xbox controller is attached, and another screenshot of this Companion Wheel is shown for this purpose later in this series.

The Companion Wheel opens considerably faster because its textures are preloaded in the RAM for the entire game session. This feature benefits some other menus as well and it doesn’t require any user configuration. In addition to this optimization, the opening fade of the menu has been reduced to slightly increase its opening speed. This tweak has been applied to almost every menu in the game.

By installing the Plugin option, the following features will also be added:

Weapon Skill at the Melee/Ranged Weapon slice, as shown on the screenshot.

DR, DT and S.P.E.C.I.A.L. stats at the Aggression slice.

Poisoned status at the Use Stimpack slice.
