I'm having an issue that is related to using Revelation Lite, but I suspect can easily be fixed by doing some quick edits of the VUI+ xml files within it, so I hope it's okay to ask here. Basically, the shadowbox "background" behind NPC dialogue is misaligned. I suspect this is related to having an ultrawide display. I think I could probably fix this myself if I knew exactly what line(s) within the xml code I need to be editing, whether that's re-aligning the background or removing it entirely, so I'm mostly just looking for a pointer on where to go to do that. Please post the dialog menu xml file from this mod/patch to a text service such as pastebin or github ("gist") and point me to it. |

Here you go: Pastebin.com Also only now seeing the damn typo in the thread title. Sigh. |

Modify line 218 to a lesser value, try 5 instead of 30. Try with a dialog that shows many topics and includes a scrollbar. You might have to modify line 140 to a lesser add term instead of 28. You might have to modify line 130 to a different _VUI+ScrollbarOffsetX term instead of -8. I would suggest that you install the Classic Font option (during installation) and switch to font #4 for Revelation. It's the original Fallout font after all, it definitely matches Revelation. Appreciate the help! Unfortunately, it doesn't look like the changes are having any effect. I modified line 218 to 5, line 140 to 1, and line 130 to -1. Here is what NPC dialog looks like: Imgur.com Modifying line 140 seems to have only had the effect of moving my own dialog choices further to the left, although I actually like that change so I'm keeping it: Before After I already had the Classic Font installed for the Pip-Boy, so modifying the dialog XML to use it as well was a good call. This is a brand new save I'm using for quickly testing load orders, and VUI+ already makes the dialog menus more compact, so I'm not sure if I can quickly find one with a scrollbar but I'll see if I can run to somebody. Johnson Nash is usually pretty wordy. EDIT: I was looking at the xml some more - line 124 references "". Would editing that be a possible solution? Specifically <_VUI+ShadowOffset> or </_VUI+OutlineIntensity>. Edited by: TaxEvasionCleric |

Right. This isn't about dialog topics but subtitles. And I now notice there's an extra background that's visible but it doesn't exist on my code. I wonder if you have added another mod to add an extra background that's totally useless since Revelation provides its own textured background!? |

... Well, I feel dumb now, but that's exactly what it was. I forgot I had "VUIPlus - Dialog Background Add-on" installed from following VNV for the basic setup for this reinstall. Disabling that fixed the problem for Revelation. |

VNV's UI suggestions don't apply if you are using Revelation. That includes fonts, UI patches and extra addons. |
