i have read the tutorials and installed it accordingly but every time i installed VHR to overwrite VUI+ FNV will go on a black screen then not responding.

i install Loot Menu 1st then overwrite it with VUI+ then VHR with VUI+ patch and the VHR 1.83b patch

But, if i install 1st. Loot Menu 2nd. VUI+ it will load up the game

Thanks in advance.

VHR with VUI+ patch? VHR 1.83b patch is the VUI+ patch. Or did you meant Loot Menu VUI+ patch?

I've been using VHR since it first came out, never had black screen and not responding. What mod manager did you use?

Exactly as Valianty says.

Valianty sorry i just found out that patch was included on VHR, but it is still not responding after i installed VHR using Fallout Mod Manager

If you have installed VUI+ then VHR and then this patch, and you still have an issue, then please send me an archive of your Data\Menus folder as suggested in the included Readme.txt file in the mod.

Sorry for the late reply, Here's the menus that i have Menu

According to your Menus archive, you have not overwritten VHR by the Vanilla UI Plus Remastered Patch 1.83b patch.

oh i forgot i played the game without VHR. Here's the updated menu

You are using a lot of UI extensions.

Can you reduce them to a minimum that still exhibits the issue, i.e. remove any UI extension that does not affect the problem.

There's an issue in your Menus archive that concerns me: UIO was triggered for the Start Menu for the MCM, but you have clearly installed VUI+ after the MCM so this shouldn't have happened. Anyway, please go ahead and reduce your UI extensions so that I can reproduce your issue on my own.

To tell you honestly i don't really know what other UI extensions that i have. I mostly downloaded them all via youtube reference.

If you want, here's my loadout i dont have any idea about the load order so it pretty much tells about the problem i am experiencing.

Im so sorry that i have been bothering you on this Axonis

Wow. That totally like me 9 years ago which I randomly throw every mods that exist on nexusmods. Just advice, don't follow guide from youtube. They made game to look beautiful but sacrifice stability. Even you can play now most likely you will get CTD later, moreover near end of game (even after you finish DLCs). I know you new to FNV modding but blindly follow guide isn't good experiences at all especially guide from youtube. I would recommend you to follow Rika's guide or Viva New Vegas(recommend to newbie) as baseline guide. Those guides has been made for stability and close to vanilla moreover their are most updated and even had discord (Viva New Vegas only) if you got a problems.

Oh God, the more I look at your load order the more fault I found. You already had Nevada Skies but you also had Fellout which very incompatible. More Perks can be reduce to single esp which you have to download from other mod page. Weapons.of.the.New.Millenia.Store.esp is buggy while Weapons.of.the.New.Millenia.Store.LITE.esp is good choice. About the FCO and NVR3, better to use QNVR3 which fixes many bugs on NVR while keep you game stable.

Valianty is right. Your UI mods are:

  • oHUD
  • Loot Menu
  • Primary Needs HUD
  • Project Nevada
  • Powered Power Armor
  • Imps More Complex Needs
  • HUDE
  • FairyPack
  • Arwen
  • MCM
  • WMM
  • Mini Map HUD

It's a very big list.

VUI+ is designed to work with all these mods, but as your problem is with VHR, I must ask you to start removing these mods one by one until you find out which one is causing the non-responding issue. This is the mod I need to know so I can help you with your problem.

@Valianty well, we all start at some point ei? :D Thank you for pointing out those guide's for me. It will definitely help me alot.

Axonis ok sir, i'll be cleaning up my mods so that i can fully use your mod.

I'll post an update if ever i have found the culprit.

Update - I reinstalled some of the UI mods that i have (those aren't included on the installation page) and that fixes the problem.

Thank you very much for the help Axonis and also to you Valianty for bringing me up those guides :D

Happy to help, and thanks to Valianty for his advice.

Thanks Axonis. lyndoncatulong if you want more advanced and powerful guide, try Fear&Loathing. Careful though, this is most veteran and heavy graphic guide New Vegas ever had. If you only want to see New Vegas in vanilla state with only fixes, stick to two guides that I post before. You can mixes between those guide, lets say if you want new weapons on New Vegas, use F&L for weapons guide which is in Do You Feel Lucky. If you have Fallout 3, you can play Tale of Two Wastelands.
