Galactic Civil War rages across the galaxy. Darth Vader, seeking the throne, had trained a secret apprentice, Darth Acris to help him challenge the Emperor. After the Empire destroyed Alderaan, Vader struck down and destroyed the Emperor. Now Vader and Acris must consolidate their power and build the military while staving off the Rebels and other rising galactic powers. They must retain order and bring peace to the Empire. The Sith will rule the galaxy once more! Plenty of new units, heroes, planets, etc. in this new take on the Star Wars saga. This is Vader's New Order - Empire surrounded.
I decided I would feature 1 more planet: Makeb. The planet has a Hutt presence on planet. The blue is supposed to represent the surrounding open space, even though it may look like water a little bit. I tried to make it look like clouds with the mesas high up in the air. CHANGE: Varied the terrain a bit more. It may look like water here but it looks different in-game. Added what I could to make it look like clouds.
The reflection DOES make it look like its on water, not air
I know that but there is only so much the map editor can do.
In the map editor you can adjust the texture of the water, so you could change it to clouds i.e.
Is there any way to remove the reflection of the mountains on the water?
There actually a way to "hole " te texture and make it invisible. when you select the texture under the selection of textures you have there is a check box labeled "hole" which will delete the land where the texture is applied (dont worry you can uncheck hole and it will revert to a texture or you can texture over it with another texture.) then you can use props to make the under parts of the mesas :)
Thanks for the advice, fixed it so it looks like the mesas run down and the sky is all around them. The final look will be a surprise for the final mod.
what you should do is level the terrain a bit more, makeb is unstable and is constantly shifting, so like the city you can make it leveled a bit compared to the others.
Good idea.
the space battle should be an air battle.
