Some days/weeks later... we now have working modular assault maps that work with any race (although some are better at it than others).
i really will be tempted to play if some sort of custom campaign or challenge maps are added
Custom campaign (admittedly enhanced soulstorm) is already playable beta. These are essentially challenge maps, but maps are stand alone so anyone can make them.
That's great news!
Will there be a guide to help us make these? I've tried reverse-engineering one in the past but it's quite intimidating if you don't know what you're looking at.
It will be much more modular and easy to modify, all thanks to Fuggles' coding efforts.
Unless you want to get involved especially in the scar then it should just be a case of adding markers and naming the critical points in the map editor.
