Have you ever been to Ukraine in the summer? Or any eastern european country?
Far too many STALKER mods suffer from poor lighting and forgettable use of colors, not to mention the games themselves. You have to fine-tune the HDR settings in the console (r2_tonemap_) to get a remotely realistic outdoor environment, and it's good that at least one mod takes this into consideration. The team even says it here:

I like their direction, nostalgic of SoC in a way.
One more thing to note.
By adding color to the Zone and making it look more like an actual European summer landscape, the contrast between outdoor areas and, say, laboratories will be far more palpable and effective. When you follow the steps of the original trilogy - making every little visual "atmospheric" - you lose out on a lot when looking at the big picture.
The True Stalker devs did the right thing. There's no question about it.

I absolutely cannot wait for this. Guys, this is absolutely amazing! I am so tired of all the washed-out depressing mods out there. Part of the stalker atmosphere for me was always the lush beautiful summer environment, contrasted by its deadly nature and inhabitants, a threat lurking behind every bush.
Will the mod be optimized and the hud support ultrawide?
I am getting a new monitor soon (3440x1440), and am wondering if I'll have any problems with this resolution. Thanks!
