Tiberium Secrets was a C&C3; mod that was developed from 2011-2020. Our vision was to create a future for the Command & Conquer universe. We had 3 new factions planned, and managed to release 1/3 of our planned content. We scoped too big, and unfortunately needed to cancel the other 2 new factions. These included novel mechanics, lore, and IP. etc. Development has been sign sealed, and delivered. All that is required to play the ASI is a working copy of C&C3;: Tiberiumn Wars. All of the content is FREE! Of Charge. Explore to your hearts content! Love it or hate it, all things must end, so new things can grow.

Hello everyone,

Originally this was just a team member discussion, but we've decided to open it up, to see what yall would expect/ hope to see for upgrades for the ASI.

These are mainly for vehicles, and the highest level of infantry.(considering aircraft as well)

The Salvage mechanic is illustrated in the "Sneak peak section" Under "Sacrament of Unity"

Basically, when an ASI vehicle is destroyed, it leaves behind an upgrade crate, that will allow the Picking up ASI unit to gain an upgrade of some kind.

2 levels of upgrades are typical.

The following units have their Salvage upgrades complete already:

Hunter, Ammit, and Pharoh hound.

All other vehicles either already have 1 upgrade, or do not currently have any Salvage upgrades. (As of this posting)

Lets see what we all can come up with.

My thoughts for the Harvester:

  • Level 1: Armor boost plus self-repair
  • Level 2: Speed and maneuverability boost

Just like the Generals GLA mechanic from crates which dropped from ..practically any factions destroyed vehicle to upgrade their Scorpion and Marauder tank(and others like Quad cannon, etc. probably) - the scrap piles to to aquire a second cannon ?

Which leads me to question if Colony will have any scrap piles since they are all organic and dont have any "vehicles" or if only ASI vehicles will left scrap piles behind.

Sacrament of Unity story: I must ask about it, again.

But you know better than me that hose 3 years ago, due to my crappy english, I pretty much, and I dont even really dont know why, misunderstood the entire your fantastic story of Sacrament of Unity.

Weird. I really didnt though that Conscripter after being proccesed in the proccessing chamber could retain anything of his humanity, his mortal human past and memories. I dont know what exactly is meant by word "Active" . Active 214 - I thought its the name of Conscriptor piloting that Hunter walker. And how the Active 214 were reminiscencing about his pre-assimilation past, confused me as well. :-)

That "Little Miss" thing, confused me entirely. xD

Yap, who or what are the Actives, what exactly is the Archive, Archivists, Actuators, Conductors and Synchronizers, insulating from "conduit resistance" ?

Are those just roles each Conscriper have?

So, its a story about how the Hunter walker has absorbed ..what? energy core capsule? ..obtained transmiting signal? which left from the destroyed Inquisitor tank.

If I am not mistaken again.

But lets come back from the another "I dont understand ASI nature again" disscusion, to ingame things strictly:

There it is: Moddb.com

Salvage mechanic means removal of standard ranking system? No elite and heroic rank for ASI or for all new ( new and old?) factions?

Yap, heres the answer on my first question XD - ""Salvage." It will work very similar to CNC Generals, however; each unit will unlock a new weapon."

Little summarization:

Hunter (T1 scout vehicle walker) - stealth detection (I suppose), main gun, aqcuires AA flak cannon and twin main gun.

PharoHounds artillery? other weapons and his "airstrike in certain areas" ability are fully done? Which new weapons he acquires and what exactly is even his primary weapon? I mean, its extremely interesting unit, animal-like design of mythical beast fox/hyena-like robot with fancy tail.

Ammit heavy tank (terminator HK like-tank)- starts with twin particle cannon projectors, acquires "small pulse energy weapon" ; and what are "heat seeking nanites"?

Athor medium tank (I presume), my favorite. - dark matter, light flash weapon- acquires ECM ( something as EMP? I forgot what it ECM) and radar jamming shroud.

Crow (hybrid movement walker/standard tank) - when it moves and when it rolls? or should change into stationary walker when deployed, thus becoming just like starcaft terran siege tank siege mode? Dont know the primary weapon. Or if salvage should change his movement type behavior somehow? Could acquire second cannon on salvage.

Oh, here it is: Moddb.com

Walker movement for short ranges. Rolls for long ranges. Primary weapon- small dark energy generator. Acquires chain lightning effect upon salvage (or upgrade from ASI "Tech center" I suppose)

So, what next he or any other ASI vehicles could acquire upon salvaging: stealth, forcefield shield, twin primary weapon, gain secondary weapon like beams, lasers, pulse cannons, railguns and etc. whatever type of new weapon. increased health/armor, movement speed, health regeneration, attack rate/shot/missile speed, acquire or increase blast AoE radius, increase damage

Beside Osiris Epic vehicle (land based protoss-like carrier/scrin PAC-like vehicle), are there any other ASI vehicles? I dont remember or havent found them.

Owl, Manta, Ibis, Eyebot are all air units right?

Which leaves us with ASI Harvester and this...thing.. miniature drone?, rolling-tire droideka-like thing? Secret unit of higher secrets. :D

Moddb.com

Oh, theres also this thing in Generals. NATO vehicles are getting ranked up when pilots are saved and navigated to their vehicles. Maybe that could be "salvage mechanic" for Dream Army?

Exhaustive as always, see you later. Its been a pleasure.

Ok,

So there's a lot to clarify here, np, it has been a while....

1. The ASI Salvage mechanic is similar to Generals system, however, instead of enemy units dropping upgrades, only ASI units drop upgrades. So, for example, if you have 5 ASI vehicles, and 3 of them are destroyed, if the other 2 ASI units pick up the salvage crates left by those fallen ASI units, they will become significantly more powerful.(in a specific way, based on the unit.) Only ASI vehicles will leave have this system, and it will semi replace normal veterancy for the ASI.

2. As of now, there are 3 classifications of individuals who join the ASI, the # is meant to symbolize/ refer to something that I'm hinting at, and if revealed, will be a long story on all the symbolism, literary works/ real life events, etc. that I consciously or sub consciously hade in mind, while writing. (So you can maybe figure out my inspirations)If your really well informed....

Active:This is the general soldier level (all start here)

Archivist:This is the internal administrative/ support/ logistical level (They help manage the assignments and flows of who does what, and keeps all records, like a librarian/ historian, they usually do not need/ or have a physical form, and they are purely digital beings.

Actuator:This is the commander(s) level (They manage ad administrate the battles, and "Crunch the #s")

3. Yes, your assumption about the absorption is correct, however, when that story was written, The Inquisitor , was meant to be what is now teh Athor,it is now an infantry unit.

4. The other conscripter concept in that link, was also inspired by the same story as the one on the main page.

5. The Athor and pharohound, have now switched roles, so:

Athor: Artilary

Praohound: Anti inf/ sturcture

6. As of now, you've listed most of the ASI vehilces, add on the Auto Designer (dozer)

7. Yes, those are the air vehicles.

8, Indeed, the pilot concept, was something War wolf suggested ffor D51, BTW, he is once again just a community member, due to RL commitments.

9. The mini drones come from the Osiris epic.

10. As for the Archive, and if assimilated humans keep their memories, that's a choice each of them must make while they are being Incorporated, they can get their full memories wiped, select ones wiped or altered, it's all up to them, and how they want to be remade in ASI.

PS.

I can't tell you what specifically :The Archive" is, since I intended it to be reference to specific things, yet intentionally wrote it to have multiple interpretations.

What I can tell you, is it deals with the duality of digital and physical realities.

1.)Oops, of course! I forgot the Dozer. xD I am not a best Robert Langdo here, when it comes to symbolism, I would need to be much younger for that. xD References other then on RTS games, works no more on such strictly and purely practical conservative pragmatic cold fish as me. .-)

2.)Athor is now an infantry?? How and when that happened? Athor is now an infantry artillery? Havent seen him (or his concept( around. Hmm, like Forgotten Mortar squad?

3.)Warwolf/Paracombatant in 2014 wrote to me: "+ Regarding your question Oaks: we have concepts for non-humanoid ASI infantry units. There is a quadruped that can transition between moving on all fours and moving on its hind legs. Another is a tracked unit which may or may not cut it."

I would like further and your input on this: What various types of infantry could ASI offer to us, in future? Maybe I once again get too much ahead of myself. Heheh, but you do understand to my, albeit probably misplaced, premature and immature, yet still; enthusiaism. xD

4.)And Pharohound is probably the equal of flame tank/corruptor (clear garrisoner vehicle) now. That makes good sense. But what he could gain from salvaging? Except statistical attributes increase.

I would of course want to list all ASI vehicles. And be interested in what salvage game mechanic has ins store for them. xD Oh, but time is a river in which my scrambled memory forgets what it drowned.

Yap, I had PM with Paracombatant year ago, pertaining his RL. Am glad to see him around again.

4.)Your thoughts on Crow tank when he salvages something?

Lets get back to proper brainstorming. Thank you for every clarification and information. Lets not delay you any further.

oh no,

1. Athor is now an Artillery vehicle

Role Same classification as GDI Juggernaut

2. Regarding what other infantry exist for the ASI, you'll see in a few weeks when their concepts are released.

3. As for the Crow tank, it has a chain lightning upgrade at T3/4, beyond what else it could do, lets see what we can come up with, it is meant to be the main battle tank of the ASI.

I had played with an idea of upgrading the Phora Hound's anti-infantry weapon to debuff enemies as well as damage them. We could also increase the range and recharge rate of the anti-structure weapon as another upgrade level.

How about an electrical arc weapon that damages any and all units that get too close to the Crow Tank?

Oct 29 2015 Anchor

Pharohound would not have continuous damage as its equals? There certainly must be ASI vehicle which does continuous damage. How long range Pharohound does even have? What weapon and if he shoots from his tail like old TE Defiler. Or you would compare him more to Fissure tank? But those were both artillery. Which brings me to question Athor artillery will shoot in direct line or over obstacles in an arc. Continuous damage weapon certainly doesnt need attack rate, shot/missile speed upgrade.

Dont know what means "debuff enemies" ? Similiarly as KW Tiberium troopers were slowing down vehicles? Though this Corruptor/Toxin tractor/chemical warrior stuff suits to Colony more. xD

Crow tank as MBT, thats a real suprise for me. Electric weapon/effect upon upgrade or salvage. I have an idea that he would use EMP effect with small radius when hes in short range stance on his legs and, maybe something as TFE electric armor(Longhorn,Bulldozer) upgrade when on threads of long range stance. Otherwise he would just roll or walk over infantry I guess. Electrical arc weapon or passive effect, similiary as the Stacraft 2 WoL terran campaign Predator unit uses its lightning field discharge? Doing even friendly damage?

Hmm, something so the T1 and T2 vehicles like Hound, Athor and Crow could complement themselves nicely. Ammit is probably T3? Oh, is there any ASI T3 walker and ASI Commando with C4-like ability? Or would Nod/GDI commando C4 be usable on Ammit ,and/or on Pharohound or even Hunter as well? I remember seeing that Osiris commando Zone trooper-like suit, with his Necron Lord-like staff of light weapon, looking long, long, long back.
