This modification offers an alternative gameplay to Tiberian Wars involving many Tiberian Sun units which many CnC fans (like me) missing in vanilla CNC3 and add even new my made units which you can't find anywhere else. Story is quite the same like Tiberian Wars, but is all about what if GDI and Nod do not abandon technologies they have used in Tiberian Sun era and instead of that further developed them. But it's not only that, there are many visual, sound and balance changes which I want to see and hear in my mod, new sounds, new music, new effects (like blood and gore, new infantry deaths, new more realistic missile trails) and many more.
Conqueror will be back as picture suggest, but there is a trick. You need to capture this new tech building to summon conqueror. New tech building is called Tacitus archive, it replaces the control point that has no practical use anyway with expansion units like surveyor, so in general its control poit that gives you access to some extra units.
It is back, i really miss it!
oooooohh! :O I likie! :)
That is by far... The most epic (and original!) idea i've heard in a very, very, long time.
Love it back.
Sort of like the tech-lab from Yuris Revenge? Not bad.
Exactly ;)
Great idea.
Carnius, its an "Archive", not an "archAive" (just for the typo)
(also wrong at all images typed)
Great work on in ones more!
Thank you, my bad
Hey Carnius, could u add AI players that actually use neutral buildings to there advantage because the AI always waste money capturing mutant hovels but never makes units from the structure. I never got y.
I agree, at some point in a future release, I think it'd be great to see even the AI making full use of every capturable tech building. EA must've felt that the AI acquiring the Mutant Hovel was a minor thing, so they didn't bother fixing it - well because of TE it isn't minor anymore, and neither is this Tacitus Archive :D
Somehow it looks cute.
I know right! The giant beast of alien death looks strangly adorable.
Yay he's back! :D
I had a feeling there was going to be significant about that tech structure in this map ;) That's great, this will be fun!
I think you guys overpower the scrin just a little bit
and yet GdI have to very powerful mastodon MK2
The Scrin are only scary if you don't have a battle plan and consistant scout reports. Then they're terrifying, due to (including but not limited to) Disenrigator rushes, Storm Rider harrasment, and other assorted air spam. A good early warning system is vital for fighting them, and the Attack bike and Tempest work well in these rolls. I MISS MY PITBULLS D: Blimey, they were useful as hell. Falcon lacks teir one anti air, though it is probably fast enough to out run any chasers. Anyway scrin are fragile and a good infantry rush with APC support is enough to deal heavy early damage, if you're quick.
Will the units require any particular production or tech building in addition to capture the Archive? Because, otherwise, rushing an engineer towards it will grant you a fundamentally OP unit when player are still in Tier 1.5-ish.
In any case, the new units in question are great. The Conqueror returning too. Will it retain its abilities from the previous version?
I think you have a very good point about when these units should be available to build. These definitely should not be available at Tier 1 for an engineer rush game.
I am glad the Conqueror is back too. Being that so many Scrin units have 4 legs, for uniqueness, I think this would look much cooler and also more fitting for such a big unit if it had 6 legs *thumbs up* If people agree, is it possible to use the same 6-legged coding as the epic unit in KW?
gotta be careful there, you'll have to use this leg style and not that of the hexapod, which I always thought was a flop visually. Another cool thing to see is a scrin air transport (hint hint carnius, we know you can do it!)
Correct, just another pair of this leg style for a total of 6 (just shift the legs around so that it looks properly aligned under the body). He'd just borrow the coding from the Hexapod for the 6-legged walking animation, so in theory it'd be less work (if it's possible, I don't know).
While I'm thinking of it, maybe it would also look great if this unit had an "armored" appearance in areas; the style of armor that he designed for his new and awesome looking Annihilator. I just really like how for most of his Scrin units (and some structures), it's ambiguous if it's organic, structural, or both :)
The Ravager Gunship is a Scrin air transport.
I am very glad you made this giant beetle available again. I especially liked it when it ate a dead Juggernout-the tiberium catapult or whatever it had then was pure awesomness!
Dawwww aint it cute
I gotta say, I'm not a fan of the Conquer. Just seems too bulky to me.
Scrin needs Tacitus' data? I thought they made Tacitus.
According to Westwood, the Tacitus was created by martian scientists. According to EA... it's not very clear who made it.
the other one westwood came up with was that it was some sort of scrin bible
Welcome back, dear Conqueror...
will there be a limit to how many you can build?
cause if not then it would be a problem if there is only one of these on a map and your enemy has it then they can just spam these super units then you would be screwed.
i am glad to see you get rid of that useless tech structure and replace it with this great and brilliant idea which will make the game harder i hope and definitely better. i am glad the conqueror is back since it kind of equals the Mastodon MK2.
придурки!!
Will each faction have its own skin when captured? The building I mean.
Ah, just what the scrin needs right now to command and conquer.
Middle is like a Scrin Super Dog
i got the mod bit no conker
Omg, the Sun of my life is back. I missed you Conqueror. <3
That thing look like an adorable machine of destruction desinged to make you cuddle it until you die
