Tiberian Sun: Rubicon is a standalone mod aimed at revising and remastering the Tiberian Sun experience while keeping it true to the original.
Since the First Tiberium War, the Brotherhood of Nod has invested great efforts into developing underground transportation, facilities, and even permanent living spaces. Naturally this interest in fossorial technologies extended into their military arm as well, with Nod eventually producing the world's first personnel transport capable of self-powered underground locomotion, the Subterranean "Mole" APC. Able to transport up to 5 infantry passengers to practically anywhere in the battlefield, the Mole is perfect for exploiting weaknesses in enemy fortifications.
Analysis suggests these vehicles were largely responsible for the surprise attack that decimated the GDI Phoenix Base in Arizona. As a result, GDI rushed to develop long-range sensors that could reliably detect subterranean movement, as well as EMP charges strong enough to interfere with underground navigation systems. Despite these countermeasures, Nod's underhanded tactics continue to blight GDI forces to this day.
