This will most likely replace the Firehawk as a buildable unit, not however as aircraft called in from off-map. Armed with twin machineguns and lots of missiles. It can be upgraded with repeating railguns to replace the gatlings.

love it...i am trying to figure why that thing reminds me of star wars...cant figure out why though..but i love that orca intercepter..makes a good replacement for firehawk..well minus the fact that it loses it anti-ground..or does it?
The Orca bomber and Orca fighter already took over the Firehawk's anti-ground ability and made it redundant.
It reminds me on the Jedi interceptor from Episode 3.
As a fighter specifically it looks fine but was it necessary to try to say you were using this before TE when it was an original CNC 3 concept that was unused and that TE is using it as a repair platform vs using it as a fighter specifically?
Im not trying to defend anyone here but what are you planning to use it for in role?
Yes, it was, because I was anticipating sam_23694 going "I knew your were competing with TE" again, because they had this design in their latest update too.
i thought i had seen it before! :D still looks amazing will it still move like the firehawk (like a Vtol jet) or will it be like the spectre gunship ? and stay still to fire :)
Like the Orca Fighter probably. Or all jets in RA3 for that matter :P

No. My model came out long before TE's, I've just been undecisive wether or not to use it. Ultimately I decided an Orca to be more fitting for GDI than a Firehawk. That was 4 days ago.

I always liked this concept, I'm glad people finally decided to use it.
imo the Firehawk and Orca bomber hold very different roles, the Firehawk is a fast strike precision fighter-bomber, the orca bomber is a big lumbering area bomber, not really caring where the bombs hit just dropping a ton and hoping it hits something, thats just my experience, the difference between the two is like the difference between an F-15 that can be used for anti-ground purposes (woulda compared to A-10 but A-10 is just to awesome to be compared to Firehawk), while the Orca Bomber is a B-52 minus the awesome payload and defensive capabilities of the B-52.

TE did not copied the model from here but just like Helge from somewhere else, when we showed him that it was used here, he was also kinda surprised about it. :)

The position of the chainguns makes it looks like it would have to fly directly at a ground target, unless they're intended for air-to-air combat.
It can attack only air targets.
Makes sense then. Will it need to re-arm its missile at an airfield or do it in flight?
It has to rearm the missiles, I said so earlier I think.
