Tiberian Apocalypse is a Partial Conversion for Command and Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars with the goal to create a true Tiberian Sun sequel. GDI, Nod and the Scrin are getting a complete overhaul.
This is good, it makes the landing smooth instead of the crash we are used to see with drop pods.
Instead of a sudden stop from high speeds generating what would generate lethal doses of G forces you get a landing that wouldn't kill the occupant and doesn't require too much technobable.
Like the landing pods from Quake II and IV and C&C Tiberium sun GDI's first mission ending cinematic.
Looking good, my only suggestion is to give them a little more scatter, maybe even not have them drop in unison but a little bit of time between each one's touchdown if possible.
why not change abgle of decent on screen. just ad a small boost jet to the frount and it will seem as if it is getting ready for the thud on the ground.
Thats a decent idea there and also very logical being that it would take a whole lot of thrust to change the pods angle without actually changing its trajectory in any fashion.
i think it would look cooler if they landed quickly one after the other instead all at once i know that how they did it in the origional but i still think it would look better
w00t very awsome!
Perhaps you could change the angle at which the pods are oriented? Might look better if they actually match the descend angle.
I animated it so that they are oriented with the nose pointing upwards, since that way the landing is 'easier'.
kinda look like the pods that the predators came out of on AVP

You really dont want the nose pointing up in those pods.
Yes, I really do.

an idea, not an argument. do what you will. :)
