Tiberian Apocalypse is a Partial Conversion for Command and Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars with the goal to create a true Tiberian Sun sequel. GDI, Nod and the Scrin are getting a complete overhaul.
You build the tower, then you upgraded it either with a twin Vulcan turret, or a twin Gauss cannon turret.
There is however, a Third version that has to be built separately, the Firestorm cannon. Due to the complexity and special equipment required to generate a Firestorm field that stays stable even after being fired off the emitter, it cannot be interfaced with the CDS like the Gauss and Vulcan turrets.
You mentioned the Firestorm Cannon is that like a third tier defense turret of it, or perchance the return of the ultimate defense grid ever conceived by GDI?
awesome. and the sonic thing was kinda stupid because it generally applies to sound. and sound waves isn't exactly a viable weapon even if they are high frequency. I agree with not having them as a part of the wall since they will be targeted first and when destroyed there will be a hole in your wall then.
at the frequency theyd need to be at they wouldnt be sound anymore itd be more of a pressure wave then sound so itd be more of a pressurized blast of air. i think, i could be wrong. most likely im trying to sound smarter then i actually am right now
Kinda like a sonic Boom it is soundwaves just all compressed very densely well not compressed... Uhm I cant think of the correct word.. But yes It would need to be a very high frequency to do that without having the object the sound is coming from in motion.
cant wait to see these tenured~ TE imitated the original component towers fairly well but didn't have something as sweet as upgradable towers like this :p looking forward to see what they look like in game~ (Vulcan tower looks beast as a model though)
Actually just to state something to the poster darkdust. Sonic waves are not like pressurized air at all. They'd just be really powerful sound shockwaves. just like how a speaker can vibrate inside. It'd be a dense and powerful vibration which would shatter glass shake and tear down buildings etc. Their are experimental weapons of such a sort. the problem is that they take alot of power and demolish both friendly and hostile vehicles buildings etc. and its hard to direct them.

Also GDI gets a separate AA turret.
i reckon the vulcan turret would make a great turret for a tank
maybe u can hav the same system with a mobile unit? xD
i think the AA should be an upgrade just like TS
it's just i dont know...better
Whats the component on the left side ? A railgun?
Edit: f*** too fast xD
Read the first comment, it's a Gauss cannon.
Edit: owned :)
Can it be place into walls like TS's?
No, they can't. It's rather tricky to do, also I never liked the idea of a wallhub on steroids.
but it looks good :E
Looks promising.
Looks damn awesome :D will they sound awesome aswell?
Nice, this is a good advancement to the TS era Component Towers. Im just wondering what the Firestorm cannon will do :p.
It fires Firestorm fields at a Target. Pretty much an Anti-Matter BFG.
Nice, that sounds a lot better than the sonic emitters in TW, looking forward to seeing a model of it ;).
They can all fire over the walls though right?
Yes.
hehehehe...with these I shall RULE THE WORLD!
coolio

I think this is what your asking for Media.moddb.com :)
Wrong Link Copied my bad, THIS ONE Moddb.com

actually soundwaves make a lot of sense as weapons, you just need them strong enough. Soundwaves are essentially shockwaves.

What is the anti-aircraft base defense, can't seem to find it.
Read the first comment.
Awesome Helge.

Also. Awesome defensive emplacment.
SWEET MOTHER OF MERCY!
i always like the component defense system because of its cost effectiveness early game.
yeah awesome models
