This replaces both the planned hunter-seeker, and the radar scan ability. It's based on the Predator C, also called Avenger.

give it forward swept wings. that way it would allow the drone more maneuverability.

No, it's staying with backward swept wings, ntm it has 2d-thrust vectoring.

Scout and Attack, no suicide.

Also I might make a special power that calls in one of these loaded with an antimatter bunker-buster, against enemy capital ships.

Damn nice to see a drone for GDI. For some reason I think only Nod hasn't forgotten about robotics in C&C universe.

Finally, someone noticed why using pilots, when we have these.(although, saving lives and winning wars at once aint easy and cheap)
What weaponry it can offer ? Because, for me, this looks like that pilotless weaponless monitoring and sound-detection plane that USAF is using right now.

It's per default armed with 6 milti-role missiles stored in internal weapons bays.

For the other special power it will be carrying an anti-matter bunker busting cruise missile.

No, I mean green, although they are the same as blue zones were in TW, only located at the poles and at the Nile and Amazonas.

Ok, little change of plans: It will Not be firing nukes into airships, but still attack anything in its guard area.

So immune to Ion storms and role is scout and heavy support bomber with 6 missiles able to strike on both air and ground.Nicely done.

Actually it's role would be "deep strike" or so, it's not a heavy support bomber.

Description

The X-83 Avenger started as a research demonstrator project with the goal to create a viable defense against ion storms. The project was declared as 'very successful'. The Avenger is equipped with several ionizing lasers and a net of superconducting filaments spread over its surface. When hit by a lighting, the electric energy is dissipated by the ionizing laser, which creates a kind of gas-lighting rod.

This sparked the idea to try and use the energy of ion storms as a weapon, but was quickly overthrown because lighting strikes are too irregular to power such a weapon. At least, on a small plane like this, with no space to store the massive amount of power released by an Ion storm's lighting bolt.

Its main purpose now is recon in areas with high ion storm activity, which block satellite instruments, within Yellow zones and the border areas of Red zone. It carries 6 multi-role "Lighting" missiles to engage targets should the need arise.

After suffering heavy losses while engaging Scrin warships in late 2050 due to their localized Ion storm technology, GDI engineers armed an Avenger with a single bunker-busting anti-proton bomb and sent it to engage the warship. With huge success, the Warship was almost instantly destroyed after the bomb breached the hull and exploded inside. Since this event, the Scrin have been driven off deep into the yellow and red zones, far away from any green zone.
