Disruptor shields or Armor?

So I have a hard time deciding wether to go with the armor upgrade, or with disruptor shields...both look fancy. You decide.
I'd go with armor. Shields just seem like something the GDI wouldn't have.
Well, it would certainly go with their "High tech - not so hightech looking - army" theme, while armor plates go with the "steamroller o' doom" theme.
i still think an upgrade
dunno maybe gdi got there hands on alien technology

maybe put both upgrades in the game but make it where one cancels the other out
If you make the Disruptor shields look better, then Disruptor Shields it is !
i would say armor too because the shield hmm kinda looks weird.
it's nice though but i think it dosen't look sooo good.

and sheild are more for experimental or brand new GDI units

new idea: I apply the shield effect to the armor plates, and call the upgrade "Energized Armor Plating", what do you think?
That could be a bit difficult to pull off, I think, but if you can, I say go for it.

oh I like the energized armor look and idea! If not that use the armor, more GDI flavored. Shields just dont feel right on GDI, maybe a unique prototype nod toy but not GDI
I think armor is better...
I was going to vote for the shields, but they don't really fit the Mammoth tank. I'd say the armor for it, and you can still keep the shield as an idea for another unit.
Like Yanivv said: "shields are more for experimental or brand new GDI units".
And after all, the Mammoth is more of a "steamroller o' doom" than a "High tech" unit.

i like the shilds far more. finally some progress, we had this tank in the first cnc so shilds wil give it a more advanced look. stop living in the 90's guys.

the disruptor armor looks actually very cool, just... it is not something that I would like to see "on" at all the times you know? that would look kind of silly,what if the effect of the disruptor armor goes on when getting hit by an attack? that would be something and maybe when the mammoth get very demaged the armor looks all unstable and stressed.
this is another idea, maybe you could add a feature to the mammoth so the player can activate the disruptor armor at will, dont know something like a minute or 30 seconds, you could maybe add reload time after each use. just brain storming here, it just that thi disruptor armor thing idea strike me more as a secondary ability rather than a permanent upgrade that just makes the mammoth armor more powerful.
disruptor shields. why don't you just make this a poll and see how many votes each type of armor gets. higher one wins.
Shields would be best suited for Scrin players if the scrin captured a GDI Con Yard, have you considered going this route? Mixed tech is something I don't see in other mods that I think would be nice to see.
Shields, It is something else to look at at, and could possibly regenerate.
Could you put the shields as an ability? but make it so when shields are on it fires slower or something, like what EA had on kanes wrath :P :D just a suggestion :)
Is it possible to Have the Mammoth Activate the Shield when it gets attacked instead of Manually Activating it?
