This will mostly likely just be a special power plane. It's armed with 6 heavy air to ground missiles and an ion cannon with its muzzle at the nose where the A-10 had the Gatling.
And yes, this is basically a fancier A-10.
Is it up armored or it will be just as fragile as the Orca Strike ?

I modeled this several Months ago. Not to mention fallout was bound to have an A-10.
And how could I be competing with a mod hosted on the same site, Fallout Studios? :P
Maybe remove the GDI and put AX-13 there instead.

is it unmanned? judging by the cockpit area, it looks like a UAV.
It's once again the opaque cockpit tech I first used on the Firehawk. It's not an UAV, the inside of the cockpit consists of a all-around screen that displays the entire environment around the plane for the pilot. If it fails, it can be popped off, as there's a plexiglas cover under it.

i think your AX-13 should have a bit bigger cockpit area and a blunter nose like the A-10. and the view at the top reminds me of a pelican.
i mean, the back perspective view.

Amazing model but it would be nice to see Ion cannon like the A-10 gatling cannon sicking out but it does have radar bounce off design like modern aircraft.
If this is the final model I love it but might be more eye candy to make the ion cannon more visible

if hes going to have a CAS aircraft thats not A-10 or based on the A-10 it certainly wouldnt be the F-22 or 23. If anything it would be the F-35 and even then thats more fighter-bomber then close air support unless its the marine version of it.
Wasn't the Orca Bomber a replacement for the A10s of Tiberian Dawn? I don't see the logic in going backwards technology vise.
I think this one is great, i was missing the old A-10 like aircrafts.
Besides, the Orca bomber(from TW) was so fragile and ridiculously tiny that it looked more a futuristic civilian VTOL with missiles.
This one looks more like a powerfull and menacing military aircraft that will strike fear on its enemys.
In other words...
LEAVE IT IN THE MOD, YOUR WORK IS AWESOME, CAN'T WAIT TO SEE IT IN GAME!
Now just manifesting my opinion, i would like to be able to control those, like the firehawk. Yeah i know it would need an airfield just for it and etc. But just think about it.

Well if its going to have an ion cannon which is a super weapon, then it cant be buildable, it would give too great an advantage, lest it cost so much or take *forever* to build that its no diff than a special power anyway. If it were just going to be a heavy bomber w/ strong armor then I cast my vote for making it buildable!
If I had my pick of adding another weapon to it, then I'd consider anti-air missile/gun.

Ion Cannons are NOT Superweapons. The Orbital Ion Cannon Sattlite Network is a Superweappon, not Ion Cannons themselves. The GDI Commando uses a portable Ion cannon, and Predator Tanks use Ion Cannons as weaponry too. Buying the Ion Cannon upgrade gives the Wolverine and the Orca ion cannons to replace their Autocannons.
A: The AX-13 isn't buildable
and B: the ion cannons you are thinking of are the size of large buildings. If they could fit them on a plane, why would they put them in orbit?
Because a orbital Ion Cannon could strike anywhere on the planet within 45 minutes.
