They aren't phoenix missiles. They are another kind of heavy AGMs, that was for Genx/CCU where I first suggested it, not for TA ;)
Ntm you barely see the exhaust on phoenix missiles, here a cover pops off on ignition.
not sure if another country has phoenix missiles, but the ones we used here in the US were air to air, and very large. In fact only the F-14 could carry them, and since we no longer use the F-14, we no longer use the phoenix.
And like Helge stated, large missile like that and the AIM-120 use "boat tails" to cover the exhaust port.

Wasn't the Orca Bomber a replacement for the A10s of Tiberian Dawn? I don't see the logic in going backwards technology vise.
