Installation Guide
- make sure you have winrar installed on your pc so that yo can extract the downloaded files once they are finished.
step 1- have a copy of Third Age 3.2 at hand, and rename the folder to Third_Age_Reforged.
step 2- download Third Age: Reforged (there is only 1 part)
step 3- extract it into steam>steamapps>common>medieval2tw>mods
and overwrite/replace files when asked. (it should ask you to do this.)
step 4- this part is important for launching the game
go to your steam library, and right-click on medieval 2 total war, select properties, and then set launch options,
you want to type this in it: --features.mod=mods/Third_Age_Reforged
step5- once you have done this, you will be able to launch the game by choosing the top option when launching the game, the option is called "Play Meideval 2 TotalWar" (it is basically none of the kingdoms mods).
step 6- Enjoy the game!

P.S. There are a few minor bugs we are aware of, and will be fixed in the next patch, but nothing gamebreaking, so please enjoy"! ^^

When I try to extract the files into >mods folder it says
"Cannot open C:/Users/owner1/Downloads/Third_Age_Reforged.1.rar
The System cannot find the file specified
C:/Users/owner1/Downloads/Third_Age_Reforged.1.rar: No files to Extract
... im not sure why it would be missing, could be you have to redownload it.
Hi I can play custom battles but crashes when i try to play campaign what do you think it could be?
Same an I don't know how to fix
This mod is for Multiplayer, not for a campaign....
sSo the campaign will not be available?
This is a multiplayer and single player custom battle focused submod, so it is probably that the campaign may not work...
I don't mean to sound bossy or anything, but could you somehow just make a patch so the campaign is at leats available

1. Same thing to the "vanilla" TATW every time i go in multiplayer all servers are incompatible and when i try to do a singleplayer quick battle the game crashed don't know what to do, im new with this monds
when i start the game the third age reforge title screen comes up then closes 10 secs later. please help

I have the exact same problem and I cannot figure out why, please, some help would be appreciated, I have the disc version and not the steam version, I tried both 0.9 and 0.91 and the result is identical, it is nothing to do with me on my part, it's the mod itself that is designed for steam version? but why, there are certainly more with the disc version than the steam version, so why can't you just make it compatible with both? I assure 101% that I followed the steps exactly, and more, as I know my fair share about computers and all, it's nothing I can fix, after 8 clean installs and fiddling around I find this as last hope. So perhaps the mod owners can fix the incompatibility?

it looks like that is a pretty common problem
yes it seems a problem, that people dont follow the guide correctly :l its really not hard guys... if youre still having trouble, ill have a video up on YouTube soon enough.

I have the same problem with it crashing on the loading screen I must have done something wrong but not sure what

Hey, I have TATW 3.2 and it seems to work fine, but I have the disk based version of the game, not steam, so step 5 I cannot do. Must I first purchase the game on a steam account, or is their another way? I really want to get to step 6.

you can still do step 5, just apply your games cd-key to your steam...
