1901. West Suffolk, England.
Dr. Paul Burfield, quoted to be the best in the county, has spent the past year saving up for a new house for his family and has cast his glims on Donnellan Manor, an abandoned manor house two minutes outside the town limits. It has sat empty for almost eight years, gathering dust and succumbing to the elements.
The price was almost unreal, and he knew with the money left after acquiring the decrepit manor, he could restore it to its original glory.
He arranges a walkthrough with his agent and arrives at Donnellan Manor the following day.
Within minutes his joy of finally moving forward is overlapped with a sense of being watched from the mansion’s boarded up windows.
He enters the manor only to find his agent is nowhere in sight.
All the candles are lit up.
