S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - The Zombie Zone is a medium reconversion mod and have the objective of make Stalker a Zombie Survival game,adding a new story,new gameplay and a new atmospheric ambient,with The Zombie Zone mod,all character and NPCs now are zombies.
In other place of the zone,a stalker called Nikolai,are working with Ecologists to investigate the rumor's of a contagious virus derived of Zombied stalkers,this virus can affect humans and make this a Zombie.
The time pass and Nikolai is preparing a incursion in the Cordon,the place with most highly zombie concentration,but a horde of zombies attack the Nikolai's team and many members die an other as dispersed and escape,but Nikolai is wounded,after this a Unknown Stalker save the life of Nikolai,and go to Sidorovich to tell this.
when Nikolai wake up,this are decided to find the unknown stalker as saved the life

Game crashes when I make a new game
3.0 version is broken,play with 0.0.2

Rammaken was correct, thank you, that v0.0.2 does work with Steam setup for SoC. I now have the game loaded and am playing.
I have found that with several of the embedded missions it is very difficult to complete the mission as MC needs to keep certain NPRs from being killed by zombies, for instance the character in the Garbage hangar. MC cannot complete the "defeat the zombies" mission if this character dies. At the end of the mission MC gains info from this character about seeing Lenin in Agroprom for more detailed info.
However, when MC gets to Agroprom and the big two-part battle to first save the Ecologists from the zombies, then later save Lenin from the zombies and the military, I do not know how to win this battle.
I have re-played it several times and cannot prevent some Ecologists from being killed. Which one, or all, need to be protected? How do I complete this task?
Without completing this task, the northern gate between Garbage and The Bar will not open.
Well,some missions can't be completed for that reason,but the gate to Rostok can be open shooting it,this open and yo need enter fast or the gate close automatically

Definitely doesn't work with the Steam version of 1.006. I tried several installs on clean 1.006, and with Gold update patch - no joy.
Probably the v3.0 is broken,test v0.0.2 this work perfectly.
