This mod, aims to add a new fully playable side to StarCraft 2's roster, the Warstarian Coalition, a faction that is analogous to the United Earth Directorate, but with the cliche of being from a completely different universe, with its own Earth, and without a desire to bring the Koprulu sector to its knees.

The mod is returning.

News 1 comment

I'm actually coming back to this project, and i'm planning on remaking everything in the mod. Since now I have a greater understanding of the game's balance. Along with some experience I picked up from C&C Modding, I feel like I have a more sane head on my neck.

First things first, I am going to be taking Tleno's suggestions regarding Enforcers, and making them actually named "Enforcers".

I will be designing this faction similarly to a C&C faction but at the pace and whim of StarCraft's factions, which shouldn't be too hard honestly.

Expect to see Excavators returning to the field as one of the first units to reappear on the battlefield.

I'm also changing the scope of the mod to really only involve the Warstarians, since 9 new factions is just a madman's task.

This mod is also being renamed to become "Warstarian Intervention".

I'm sorry to say that the Warstarian Mod's development has slowed down tremendously in the recent few weeks, and it's because I (Musketmarine) am working...

I've also fixed a bug with the Combined Arms upgrade, and Advanced Combat Upgrade.

Causing them to override eachother.

Now they'll simply add up.

So you need both to get 7 range Riot Control.

I meant to say the bug caused them to override eachother...

Sorry about the confusion

Also be advised... That the base Warstarian Mod is being updated every now and then.

Don't be alarmed if the version number for the Warstarian Conflict mod is still the same as last time. (Because it depends on the Warstarian Mod, so I don't even have to touch Warstarian Conflict at all...)

Alright, so the New World Order's soundtrack has 5 songs from a lovely artist named Rude: Soundcloud.com

Songs are New Order, Old Glory, Sorrow, Wanderer, and Bliss.

I plan to add Revelation in there too...

I'm getting permission from some music artists to use some of their songs in this mod.

Have you considered scrapping the vanilla races in favour of concentrating on custom race ones? I see you mostly stick with recycling vanilla assets, some unit variations and so on could cause confusion with already present units.

I don't intend to remove the Vanilla factions from the game.

I see this as more of an Expansion Pack that adds more races.

For the confusion issue, I plan to put the Race name before the unit for now.

Ex: Warstarian Marine

I need to see if I can find anything on SC2mapster that is capable of differentiating the units. (as in new models)

Nah, people will still require shorter names when communicating and so on, I recommend giving each unit a unique name, like renaming Marines into Troopers, Enforcers or something like that.
