I prefer swazi to use MP40. Sterling is better for Balionic.
You should give the Swazi's a VP-41. Basically a MP40 but with a side mag instead of bottom feed.

But Sub machine guns where made during WW1 since this is pretty much a different world weapons can have different looks.

You're thinking of the Sten, the Sterling is the post-war evolution of the Sten.
Its suppose to bet he Sten which is a WW2 gun idk if it was a interwar gun though.
No, the Sten and the Sterling are two separate guns.
My mistake i'm not huge with SMG's.
