Marvelous! I love how Isengard in this mod is tending more and more towards the book Isengard in a very unique way!
I fill iffy about the Dunland units. I'm nervous that there will be too many units in a single faction. Curious to see how they will be used. Excellent work.
I have you seen Mordor yet?
I have. And I use primary the Orc Pit and their units. The only additional units I use are Haradrim Archers, and depending on the mood, trolls or catapults. But that's just me.
The Dunlending units are an optional path to take on the Spellbook. A late game one. They're not really part of the core faction design.
Ohhhhhhh. This makes sense, I overlooked something about Isengard then.
It's the compromise we came up with. We thought Isengard's core design was in a good place but also wanted to give those that wanted to see more of Middle-earth in there the option to go for it.
Lol Isengard hasnt too much units.
*too many
Ohh. I'm getting a heart attack! Please, keep doing it !
i love the work you guys are doing with isengard and the dunlendings i think they're an ignored part of middle-earth in the movies but having played LOTRO i think they have a strong variety especially with all the clans they have... Dragon, bear, boar, ox... who knows maybe after you guys are done with the other factions you'll include them as a faction of their own
Add ısengard shielders Uruks :))
These units are awesome! Great work!
One question: functionally, how do the Dunland units differ from Uruk-Hai? What would be the strategic ramifications of going with them over the standard fair of Uruks?
I really like all of these new units! Keep it up.
Firstly, they're a late-game spellbook option (you buy the Dunlending Subjugation spell, you summon the structure, and then you can buy Dunlendings ie. Dol Amroth Citadel), so you'll likely be using Uruks for a good bit if not throughout the whole game. The Dunlending units are different in that they fill roles Uruks don't really fill: they have longbowmen with excellent range and real cavalry that's better than Wargs.
Interesting. Since the structure is summoned, it seems like you won't be able to faze out uruk-hai completely from your armies, which is nice. I'm not really a big fan of one unit being a flat-out upgrade over another, and really like when every unit has a unique skillset.
