This mod site is for posting submods, small patches and hotfixes so that the main site doesnt get cluttered with downloads. These patches and hotfixes will be betas or experimental so that we can see what fixes work in order to make the next main patch for the mod as stable and effective as possible. We will also post various submods for The Great War mod.

Description

The crashing in battles caused by artillery may be due to too many particles/pellets being ejected when the shells explode. In this patch all artillery explosions number of pellets have been decreased. The likely culprit is the shrapnel shells as they would spray 100 pellets when exploding. This has been reduced to 40, hopefully this will make a difference.

Same way you install 6.0. Follow the install guide on the main site.

the problem with the game crashing continues, at least for me :(, is it really possible to make the enemy not use this ammunition that shatters? And activate the option to use a standard ammunition that explodes on impact on our cannons? this mod is too much good and that's just what's causing trouble :(

Tried this fix because I can't get past a 1914 Battle in East Prussia, my army is fielding 2 batteries field guns, the Russian AI: 5 Batteries. While I can confirm the original 100 pellets is reduced to 40 from shrapnel shot, the Hot-fix seems to have no effect, the battle crashes almost exactly where it did before I installed the hot-fix.
