"The Elder Scrolls: Total War" is a total conversion of Medieval 2 Total War - Kingdoms. It gives you a glimpse into the world of The Elder Sсrolls, as the head of one of the 20 factions fighting for dominance over Tamriel...
Heavy plate armor like this doesn't fit the Redguards both in terms of lore and common sense (you won't use plate armor in the desert because of the heat). Redguards favor light and medium armor. "Denizens of the Alik'r tend to favor lightweight leather armors to better cope with heat, and often wear face coverings to keep sand from their mouths." Also they favor sword, curved swords. Again an example of just taking things from ESO without pondering the question "Does this fit this faction? (lore, geography, fighting style, prefared weapons and armor)" They should look more like the Arab Swordsmen from the Broken Creasent mod Honga.net or this Mojette.deviantart.com
Same with your Winged hussar Cataphracts. They too don't fit with the Redguard theme. In a setting like Warhammer it works because it have a Polish/Eastern European-esqe faction (Kislev). But in the Elder Scrolls there isn't anything like that. They should look something like the Byzantine Kataphracts or the Turkish Hasham from the Crusaders expansion.
Very good.
Those helmets reminds me Unsullied from GoT :D
Fun fact: The unsullied wear Polish winged hussar helmets (szyszak).
These look more eastern though.

I agree with the reasoning of the desert gear, but an elite unit using heavier armor for defensive purposes is not too far fetched.
