The Day of Silence:
December 25th 1978- Vietnam invades Cambodia. Communist scare on the rise in the US.
January 15th 1979 4:21 AM- Police arrive on murder scene at UPI(United Pharmaceutical Industries) labs, Feltin City. No suspects.
January 16th 1979 3:02 PM- Murder case officially closed. No arrests. No suspects.
January 19th 1979 9:45 AM- Feltin City Morgue temporarily closed due to missing bodies. Police investigation underway.
January 20th 1979 2:59 PM- Riot outbreaks in Feltin City. Police containing crowds, situation violent.
January 20th 1979 3:32 PM- Several officers are escorted to local hospital in Ambulance, primary wounds: Bites.
January 20th 1979 9:16 PM- Feltin City hospital closed. Official evacuation announced.
January 20th 1979 9:40 PM- Feltin City borders closed off, complete quarantine by UPI security forces engaged.
January 20th 1979 11:56 PM- Final transmission from inside Feltin City recieved; "Help us.... blood ever.... dead.... back ali.... violent.... coming....*end transmission*"
January 21st 1979 12:00 AM- The Day of Silence begins...
The Day of Silence is a horror survival mod made from Valve's Source Engine. Some features include:
-Day/Night cycles
-LOTS of weapons; Almost everything on the ground can be used as a weapon..(chainsaws,hammers,sledges,paintcans,axes,glass bottles..ect)
-Barricade yourself inside structures with our own "pattented" nailgun. Players can hold up wood planks across doors while another secures them into place.
-Extremely large, fully explorable city; Blocks and blocks of city to wander around and hide in.
-Save yourself; Save your character, keeping your inventory, health, etc.
-Side quests; Find survivors to help and be rewarded by.
-Fight thousands of uniqely animated and modeled horrors along side your friends.
This is not just an idea, we do have content, it's just not ready to be released. We have a couple city blocks, models in progress, and ideas flowing.

We are mainly in need of mappers, skinners an modelers due to the fact that the city will be so huge and diverse!
The more mappers we can get the faster and more efficently the mod can be completed.
Less importantly we can use a webdesigner, and later on a skinner.
The leader of this mod and mostly everyone else has disappeared for a few months, and being the only one left who hasn't disappeared; I've decided to leave the mod inactive until we're able to reestablish contact, until then, I'm sorry guys but you're gonna have to wait until someone reestablishes contact with me or decides to run this mod.

You guys know, you can't have a **** load of npcs plus a big *** map plus your friends.. this game might just be called Lag unorganized ****, How about you have a bunch of decent size maps with minimum friends and medium amounts of horror or what ever..

The problem is, I don't have any of the content, except for the maps.

thats a huge dissapointment, I would say screw them and try to get some new help, because that is just dumb... Hang around a bit and keep your content, somone might offer to help or pick it up.
wow, I would incessantly email the other members of the team to give you the stuff then, because that is bogus, I certainly sympathize with you.
Yes we are still work on this mod and was are making some great improvments. We have started making our custom animations for DoS and we are about 50% of the way done with the new weapons. All we really need is a good programmer so we can bring DoS full circle and release a beta. We thank all of you guys for your support and have no plans of quiting any time soon.
