The American Civil War Mod: Revived is a single player mod for Mount and Blade: Warband that is built upon an old civil war mod that ceased development, that was called, "A House Divided". Thanks to the help from the amazing community here, I have been able to include some new features in the mod, like advanced formations and fire orders, and successfully address many of the major bugs that came with the first release. Many new features have since been added, and you can read more about them here, on the mod page. A great deal of thanks is due to all the guys who contributed their work in the past, as well as those who have graciously provided their assistance since the mod has come back to active development; Matsuri5, Helm8000, Эльдар, Kawooz_Mirza, pizzaman6, UwU_XD, the Blood and Iron team, Tasmit, Hinkel, Poomtang, Azrooh, Tessius, Durnius, Gabrilduro, and Dellivils being just some of those who've made this possible.

Hey, so looks like this isn't quite abandoned, but I'm amazed at how much progress you've made on this by yourself. I've been having a blast, truly you've taken this from a deeply unfinished product to something that stands besides the other high-quality total conversion mods.

Two points:

1) I imagine you have your reasons for not doing this already, but I really strongly recommend you put this on the Steam workshop. It's just a fact that people under a certain age wouldn't even think to check somewhere like ModDB for something like this and would miss out on your great work. (I actually almost did). If you punch "Civil war" into Steam search people are downloading North And South 1.4, because some guy "just had it and didn't see it posted here"... I think you could find some help if you put this where people are looking. Even if you've moved onto better things, maybe someone can find it and offer to take it off your hands if you open-source it.

2) Map suggests Winston-Salem is between Hillsborough and Raleigh :D

So far it's an awesome mod, I personally miss the freelancer system a bit even more polished: i saw in some 19th-century mods (Between Empires, L'Aigle) that you can advance further in the military ranks, even if You've been promoted to officer. Along with that, you can buy stuff in the fortresses befitting your status and your chosen type of soldier (infantry, cavalry, etc.). And of course, you can command more and more men as being promoted, with your salary also increasing.

Maybe it's worth implementing into the mod in the future?

I can reposition Winston-Salem and Hillsborough, that's a simple fix. I just need to switch their coordinates with each other. :)

Yes maybe in the future we can implement some of that, but fancy stuff like that can wait for now. We still have a lot of other things to do first. ;)
