This particular scene really shows the difference of having no ambient specular. The Xeno's are no longer shiny at-all-times and are hidden in the darkness.
I feel a little sorry for anyone who has to play through this for the first time with v3 installed. Not knowing which ones are alive and not being able to see them outside of your lamp's light will be super scary! Also the glowing sacs and "embers" when they get disturbed looks alot cooler in such darkness
