"Tang Dynasty World: An Lushan Rebellion" is a Chinese mod based on the Medieval 2 Total War engine. The mod boasts an Asia-Europe-Africa large map, with a total of 24 factions, including the Tang Dynasty, Great Yan (An Lushan Forces), Japan, Nanzhao, Tibet, Uyghur Khaganate, Turgesh, India, Southeast Asia, the Arabic Caliphate, the Eastern Roman Empire, as part of a total of 24 selectable countries." The An Lushan Rebellion was a war launched by the Tang dynasty general An Lushan and his associate Shi Siming in the late years of the reign of Emperor Xuanzong and the early years of the reign of Emperor Daizong (December 16, 755 to February 17, 763). It was a civil war for the control of the Tang dynasty and a turning point for the decline of the Tang from prosperity to decline. The war resulted in a large loss of population and a sharp decline in national strength. It is named after An Lushan and Shi Siming as they were the main leaders of the rebellion against the Tang dynasty.
