The primary aim of this mod is to get away from the current gameplay which for the most part involves spamming tanks. We are introducing gameplay that requires, scouting and using a variety of units to be successful. Tanks are not the do-all units anymore, instead you need artillery units to take out defenses, tanks to take out artillery units, air units to take out the tanks, and AA units to take out air units. It's basically bringing Rock-Paper-Scissors to the game which we believe makes it more challenging and interesting. We're also making the factions' abilities exclusive. By that we mean only Nod use mines (so no APC mine drops) and they are also the only ones that use cloaking technology. The same applies for GDI who use more EMP now etc. We think this better defines the play styles of the factions so that you aren't just playing each faction more or less the same way.

Uh, that's the standard skin. They added new upgrades, they didn't change the aesthetics at all from what I can tell.

It's a speed increase. No other icon at this stage, but hopefully we'll put one in that better represents an engine upgrade soon.

You know, remove the railgun upgrade from the mammoth or the predator.

Those instagib railguns are the reason i never build them.

seriously, since when were railguns as fast as lasers? They should be projectiles like the standart ones.Besides, without rails mammoths sound much more powerful and are aswell more flashy.

have u ever seena railgun fire???when you see one live fire(the navy has them) it looks as fast as a laser..just so you know..and the railguns are the only thing that make the mammoth more powerful..the scrin and nod get weapon upgrades for the T3 units..GDI does too..but if you think railguns are too slow we can go with Gauss cannons...them are a hair slower than lasers...well if you go by crysis anyway

I have to agree with GrimReaper. Railgun shells, while not as fast as lasers, travel significantly faster than regular chemically propelled ammunition. Last time I heard, the US Navy railgun prototype had a muzzle velocity of around Mach 7. It should justify the 'laser' appearance of the railgun in CnC, as Tiberium and technological advancement would have increased the muzzle velocity even more.

Description

This a preview of the upgrade options that will be available for the mammoth in v1.2.

The railgun upgrade is the same as normal but we've now given the mammoth the option to upgrade and receive a repair drone using the wrench/spanner button. In 1.1 the Mammoth came with the drone by default but we wanted to make it an upgrade option.

And then there's the speed upgrade (the circle icon button). This allows players to upgrade the engine if they want to spend the extra money. An upgraded mammoth has a significant speed increase but is still slower than a predator tank.
