A lot of you were reporting that there was an issue in multiplayer with crashes. Somehow this bug made it into v5.1 and slipped past the testing. It took a while to find the source of the crash, but once found, it was relatively simple to fix.
Here is the full list of changes in v5.2:
- Fixed crash to desktop in multiplayer mode when a suspect is becoming compliant.
- Fixed grenade animation glitches which appeared at high FOVs.
- Slowed down the suspect surrender animation so it doesn't look as glitched.
I apologize for the patch taking a long time to come out - real life issues have been affecting all of the development team.
Your opinion is needed!
Originally, v5.2 was going to be much larger in scope, but the decision was made to release this patch quickly to fix the multiplayer issues. I would like your opinion about the releases: should we focus more on releasing a new, large version with many changes (v6) or focus on a smaller scale patch that releases faster? (v5.3)
