- Rewrote SpeechCommands grammar file from scratch (see SpeechCommands.md for changes) (kevinfoley helped with this)
- Added missing speech commands from v5 (for specifying breaching method)
- Minor optimizations regarding the optiwand
- Snipers now report when they've lost sight of entry team on all maps, not just Qwik Fuel (they only do this once)
- Improved the quality of shadows on the highest Shadow Quality setting. [kf]
- Flashlights have a smaller cone but longer range [kf]
- On the highest Shadow Quality setting, more things (such as AI-controlled officers, guns, etc) will cast shadows [kf]
- In All Missions campaigns, it will display the author of the map and a short description (if available) in the Mission Selection menu
- Chat messages now display the room name of where they were spoken from (except when spectating or in pregame)
- In the Classic Command Interface (CCI), a lot more commands will return you to the main screen, including PICK LOCK and MAKE ENTRY commands.
- In the Classic Command Interface (CCI), issuing a command will *immediately* return you to the main screen (if it does this to begin with) instead of waiting for Lead to finish talking.

- Fixed SEF bug: Sniper rifle not firing in multiplayer
- Fixed SEF bug: Sniper rifle viewport not controllable on listen servers
- Fixed SEF bug: RotateAroundActor crash in multiplayer
- Fixed SEF bug: Breaking a door with the breaching shotgun (in a dedicated server/multiplayer) would sometimes not disable the antiportal
- Fixed SEF bug: Officers were reporting that they lost their contact way too often [kf]
- Fixed SEF bug: Missions not sorted alphabetically sometimes in an All Missions campaign
- Fixed SEF bug: Restart Mission button not working correctly in an All Missions campaign
- Fixed SEF bug: Officer in a T-pose after returning to main menu after completing a mission in an All Missions campaign
- Fixed SEF bug: High-scores not saving in All Missions campaign
- Fixed SEF bug: The drag (bullet damage loss over distance) property was being calculated wrong and adding drag to bullets twice when they passed through objects.
- Fixed SEF bug: Some commands missing from the main command menu in Multiplayer
- Fixed SEF bug: Some commands being greyed out in the main command menu in Multiplayer
- Fixed TSS bugs: The AI target sensor got rewritten from scratch, fixing the following TSS bugs:
- SWAT AI unable to hit things at very close distances
- SWAT AI not taking range into account when firing pepper spray, taser, etc
- SWAT AI could sometimes shoot hostages/suspects who were in the way of their target
- Fixed TSS bug: Doors broken with shotgun by AI would have a delay before they appeared broken to the player - this is fixed. [kf]
- Fixed TSS bug: Officers don't reply when ordered to cover an area, they just do it
- Fixed TSS bug: Wrong caption on QUICK OPTIONS/ADVANCED OPTIONS tabs in the Host Game menu

I cant seem to issue speech commands. i'm literally yelling at th mic and nothing happenes. Razer Kraken 7.1, Win 8.1. It seemed to work with version 5.2 though
The voice command XML file was rewritten from scratch between 5.2 and 5.3. Have you given the SpeechCommands.md a read?
Bought the game off GOG (finally available digitally!) and first thing I did was look for mods. This one is fantastic, and I was surprised it is still recent and getting updated. You guys did awesome, please keep it up! There is still no competition on the market for Swat 4 and you guys are keeping it current and playable. Thanks! Well done
Ok so I like the new patch but question how do I get more weapons to use or do they unlock. I am in the campaign on mission 4 and still no new weapons. Did I not install it correctly?
You can see which new piece(s) of equipment get unlocked in the briefing menu, on the New Equipment tab.
It keeps crashing when i use a gas grenade, something to do with the sound of it.

There is a known bug with a specific suspect on a specific mission (Meat Barn, Adam Moretti) that will trigger a crash when a gas grenade is used. This is fixed in the next version. But if this is not happening on Meat Barn, can you give me a crash log?
This is easily the best SWAT 4 mod! Can't wait for v6!
Whoever creates this MOD, are deserve to develop a new SWAT 5 game..

my use speech recognition button in the settings menu is greyed out, why? i installed v5 and then the patch to v5.3

First of all, thanks for the amazing mod :)
Secondly, you may want to update the readme because at least for us, in Windows 10, we had to go to the "Settings" control panel of Windows 10 (not the regular one), open languages settings and then download and install the speech pack for English-US, the speech engine of Microsoft which you linked to in the readme didn't do anything for us in Windows 10.

Is it possible to use other mods with this also installed? I want this mod and the Code 11 mod, and I don't know if they could be both installed, or what.
Any mod that alters the code of the game (including Code 11) are not compatible. Visual mods, such as the GEM texture enhancement, or new maps, are compatible.
I have a problem when i start it in gameranger as the readme says and it keeps aborting the game when i start it even alone. If you could help me it will be great.

I Think my mod is bugged, beanbags shotguns doesn't hit suspects, it's like the beanbags doesn't even spawn when i shoot, even in point blank range i can empty the shotgun the sound effects come out muzzle flash come out, but the beanbag seems not even to be spawning because it causes no effect on enemy or civilian, i tried to check if it was my aim, so i made someone surrender, got on point blank range, and emptied the shotgun and nothing happened to the person even when i was aiming for the head, the nova less lethal sometimes work sometimes not, the 870 never works at all. This also affect my AI partners, when they shoot at the suspect nothing comes out of their beanbags shotguns. (Weird is that this is only happening with beanbags, pepper ball guns tasers, and all the other guns are working properly even the lethal 870 with all types of lethal ammo is working properly)
This is a known problem and is hopefully going to be corrected in the next major version (v6)
how many missions is in this mod? i finish the "meat bar restaurant" but cant go to the next one :(

There is only one added Extra Mission in this version. The next major release (v6) will add two more missions.
Ty for answering,the reason i though there must be more than one mission was that i read in readme file: "A new EXTRA MISSIONS campaign. These are curated "missionS" which ...". so i though there should be more than one mission. anyway keep up the good work, I'll wait for V6.
Done everything correctly, seen the tutorial and did it, the command prompt still says "cannot find the path specified"

Ok, for real, i need help with this. I've been searching for this so called ".bat" files and i have downloaded this 3 times. I can see all kind of folders, like hidden ones and stuff, but there is simply no ".bat" files. No way of starting the mod, and, from what i've searched on the internet, no one solving this problem... any ideas -_-
