Stra-D2Mod aims at increasing the playability in single player maintaining the mechanics of the vanilla version. The end-game is focused on super-unique monsters hunting in order to get GC skillers and other rewards. Other major features are: shortcut progression in normal and nightmare difficulties; increasing experience with increasing mlvl-clvl difference; unchanged item level requirement; enhanced runes and items drop rate; each type of monsters is specialized in dropping certain items (unique monsters drop uniques, champion monsters drop set and high quality white items, ancients drop high quality white items); more importance is given to gems, jewels and Token, as they serve as ingredients for new usefull cube recipes. It is HIGHLY recommended to use 1.13c or 1.13d patch in order to enjoy all features of the mod and also for PLUGY compatibility (e.g. for Diablo CLone and Uber Tristram quests).
1) Blackened Stone quest:
The aim of this quest is to kill (in Hell Difficulty) superuniques monsters for collecting distinctive items (dark green coloured) that can be used in cube for getting the Blackened Stone that in turn can be used for obtaining GC skillers and other useful charms.
2) Potion of Iniquity quest
Collect (in HELL difficulty) five distinctive dark green coloured items for obtaining the Potion of Iniquity. The Potion of Iniquity can be used to spawn Diablo Clone (by selling it to merchants) and to reroll items.)
3) Unique Stone quest (Boss Mod Area)
If you fell strong enough, then try to defeat Andariel clones (Venom Queens) and Duriel clones (Cold Kings) in the Drift Cavern (Act 5, hell difficulty). The unique version of these monsters have 100% chance to drop the “Unique Stone” which can be used in cube recipe for: a)rerolling unique items b) make ethereal unique items from non-ethereal unique items and viceversa c) make superior items from normal items; d) rerolling superior items.
4) Drop rate:
-Increased runes drop rate: high runes drop at a reasonable rate without preventing the drop of lower runes.
-Unique monsters are specialized in dropping unique items
-Champion monsters are specialized in dropping set and high quality white items
-Ancients are specialized in dropping high quality white items with chance of getting more and better items than champion monsters.
-Normal monsters drop white items or, in a lesser extent, rare items.
-Increased the drop rate of rare/magic rings and amulets from chests, regular and unique monsters
-All set items have the same rarity.
-All unique items have the same rarity.
-High quality unique and set items appear early in the game.
-Enhanced drop rate of uber keys and essences.
5)Cube recipes:
-Possibility to get extra Hellfire Torches using specific recipe
-Possibility of infinite reroll of normal, magic, rare and crafted items
-Possibility to get normal-ethereal socket items from no socket items with fixed number of sockets.
-Possibility to make superior items
-Possibility to reroll uniques and make them ethereal
-Added cube recipes to get GC skillers
6)Miscellaneous
- The following four features are for 1.13c and 1.13d only (to make effective these changes, replace the old d2game.dll with the one provided with Stra-D2Mod):
1)Act3 Quest2 Reward: Ormus gives now an Unique Ring in return for the Gidbin.
2)Nihlathak portal can be now activated talking to anya even after nihlathak death!
3)PlayersX in normal difficulty is now harder because suffers of the increased monsters damage of 6.25% per player as in nightmare and hell.
4)Removed Experience penalty based on mlvl-clvl difference. The consequence is that the higher the monster level, the higher the experience gained, irrespective of the character level.
-Baal can now drop an Experience Potion which gives experience to character (experience gained 1,000,000). The Experience Potion can be used (right mouse click) ONLY with character level => 80. The chance to drop the experience potion is around 15% in Players1 and 73% in Players8, respectively.
-NORMAL and NIGHTMARE difficulties can be now completed in lesser time: quest items required for completing act2 (cube, viper amulet, staff ) are dropped by Radament (located at the third level of the Sewers) whereas some quest items for completing act3 (khalims’ eye, heart and brain) are dropped by Stormtree (located at the entrance to Lower Kurast). HELL difficulty progression is as in the vanilla version.
-Compatibility with PlugY and D2SE
-Add D2SE configuration file.
-Diaclo Clone spawns for each Potion of Iniquity sold (ofc, it works only if PLUGY is installed).
-Disabled Plugy shared stash and respec (Thanks to the new GC skiller receipe and to Tokens I think that shared stash and infinite respec would make the game not challenging).
-Increased the max stack of keys, town portal and identify scrolls to 100.
-Gambling: chance of gambling Rares, Uniques and Sets has been raised to 20%, 2% and3%, respectively.
-Changed the colour of gems and of rejuvenation potions on the ground from white to red and purple, respectively.
-Added many new items (dark green coloured on the ground) for the new end-game quests (GC skillers
and Diablo Clone quests).

Why can I not use "Shared storage" in plugy? Is there a way to fix it somehow?
Disabling shared stash was my choice. However, you can modify this option in the plugY.ini that you have download from my mod. Just click on it and it will open as a text file. Go to the shared stash row and replace 0 with 1. That's all
Any chance to make this compatible with PlugY 12.00 on DII v1.14D? What would be the instructions?
As stated in the file description this mod is based on 1.13C patch files. Thus, many features may be not available on other patches such as 1.14D.

A few suggestions if i may though:
- Make the inventory and the cube big
- Add amulet,rings,gloves,boots and belts to the mercs
With those two , it would be aweeesome

Dear Paul, i am glad that now the mod works fine.
As regards your suggestions, i think that bigger inventory and allowing Mercenary to wear additional stuffs (amulet, rings and so on) would significantly alter the mechanic of the game making it much more easy. This is beyond the scope of the Mod but thank you anyway for your suggestions.
Hello Funk, i see many people are having issues with getting the mod to work, i myself also encounter this, i have copied all the needed files still, when i reached act 2 , radament did not drop the amulet, cube and staff also then i reached act 3 the guy at the beginning of lower kurast did not drop the flail pieces either.
It would be awesome if you could upload to mega or somewhere a .zip file of a working d2 with plugy and Stra mod

Dear Paul,
I am sorry for the troubleshooting you have encountered.
I think that the uploaded files are good.
I will try to help you by reporting below the installation instructions.
1) Be sure that you have installed a not corrupted copy of diablo2 LOD of Destruction patch version 1.13c (best option). Re-install if needed.
2) Install PLUGY version 11.02. You will find it at Plugy.free.fr
(You could also download patch 1.13c from the above site)
3) Replace d2data.mpq, d2exp.MPQ, D2client.dll and D2Game.dll files inside your Diablo II folder with the ones provided with Stra-D2Mod (D2client.ddl and D2Game.dll are inside the folder denoted as "D2Game.dll for 1.13c"). It works for sure with the English version, not tested with other languages.
4) copy the “data” folder of Stra-D2Mod into the “Mod PlugY” folder (if you have installed a previous version of Stra-D2Mod, delete first the old "data" folder and then add the new one).
5) replace the plugy.ini INSIDE the Mod PlugY folder with the one of Stra-D2Mod folder.
6) make a SHORTCUT of PlugY.exe located in the Mod PlugY folder on your desktop and add to the file path: -direct -txt
In my case, the path is the following "C:\Program Files (x86)\Diablo II\Mod PlugY\PlugY.exe" -direct –txt.
Please note that -direct –txt is OUTSIDE the quote.
7) Use the latter shortcut to launch the mod and enjoy.

Cubing (to make sockets with white item) doesn't works, RAL + AMN + P.Amethyst + weapon or TAL + THUL + P.Topaz + chest armour
and what's 'An Evil Force' fragments? where can i use it??
1) These cube recipes are not activated in this mod. Please search in the cube recipes file of this mod how to sock white items.
2) "An Evil Force" is shown when the mod is not correctly installed.
