The Alliance to Restore the Republic, destroying the crowning edifice of galactic hegemony in over a thousand years? No, no, the one who believes that is a fool! The Galactic Empire was destroyed, not by a few smugglers, rebels, and outlaws; the Empire's greatest foe was itself. Like a malfunctioning gyro, once it began to spiral out of control, it could not balance itself out, and ripped itself to pieces in the process. The Rebellion merely took advantage of this fact.
