Seeing the Peregrine now, I remember that I read in your github commits that the Valkyrie was removed from carrier elements in some cases? If that is the case, can you please tell why?

Intense shot, by the way! :)

In Star Trek Invasion the Valkyrie was unique to the new Typhon-class carrier starship. From a gameplay perspective, given that the Valkyries are by a significant margin the best strike craft in the game, we decided to limit them to the Typhon and certain other advanced ships.

Fighters in Star Trek never felt right to me, never mind what DS9 did in later seasons, especially considering that this show treated the Bird of Prey and the Defiant basically as airplane-like fighters between navyship-like standard Starships.

In the early Marquis episodes, engagements using shuttles were interesting but fighters in the fleet battles were always weird.

Anyway, great screenshot!

Even in the Dominion War they weren't really a big thing. They were an important part of the opening phases of Operation Return but beyond that they were only seen occasionally.

How i see fighters in tng. Is that they are Starfleet's response to war and the need for more ships. Why build full ships when you can build smaller ones that are cheaper and need less people to run?
