Once, While I was playing as the Borg in the SOA2 mod for Sins, on a 8 player map, I had assimilated every single race but one. As I looked at my fleet, I realized that 5 races that would never work together in a thousand years, were acting as one and trying to make the Universe a better place. And then I started thinking, what if the Borg are not as bad as we think....

But at the price of freedom and indvidualality. I think I'll take the bickering.

Small Words from a small being. Trying to attack what it does not understand.

Not sound like a borg drone or anything, but there aren't many races in the Star Trek Universe that can match the might of the Borg. The Borg aim for perfection might be hard to achieve, but it is certainly not delusional.

But then...

Negotiation is Irrelevant. You will be Assimilated.

especially if you're a relatively weak star-ship under an inexperienced captain thousands of lightyears from home. oh, wait

5 races that would never work together because they never saw the need to unite. IF they knew how powerful are the Borg, I would wager they would unite and stand in the same way as the entire galaxy stood behind (my) Shepard to stop the Reapers.

Federation does. I'm pretty sure the Romulans do too. The Klingons definitely know. But you don't see them uniting and stopping their petty squabbles over sectors and Uniting over a common foe.

I mean, the Borg could send 20 cubes to Assimilate the Federation, and no one could do anything about it.

Hmmmmm... Yes, I suppose are right, because they are too stupid to realize that sometimes, the enemy of my enemy is my friend.

And not just that. IF the Borg sent 20 cubes against Federation, the Klingons and Romulans would even join the Borg, and with sheer firepower of Borg cubes and Romulan and Klingon cloaking devices, Starfleet would be overwhelmed.

Pretty much. Depends on the timeline though... I mean, towards the end of Voyager an Intrepid class could assault a Borg Tactical cube, upload a virus and get out of there alive!

True as well. After Voyager returned from the Delta quadrant they were empowered by 25th(??) century tech which gave them some serious advantage over others.
