Bussard is the collector on the front of nacelles, Buzzard is the name of the ship... You meant Buzzard, right Max? :)

Lol, he's right, Bussard is the German word for Buzzard (but means the same). :)

on the topic of romulan ships, i was reading a star trek book from the captains table series, and about half way through the book Captain picard and the crew of the Daring board a Romulan C-class warbird. Is a C-class Warbird the same as a D'Deridex class?

It could very well mean that. The D'deridex was only ever referred to as the 'warbird' onscreen and it went through three variants - it's original form seen in early TNG, the B-type seen in late TNG and early DS9, and the C-type seen in late DS9.

That said, depending on when the novel is set it could be referring to another vessel, as the term 'warbird' is a general term the Romulans use to refer to many of their larger, more powerful warships.

It is...beautiful.

That's a darn fine mesh, I must say. The Buzzard is definitely one of my favorite ships, right up there with the D'deridex, Valdore, Galaxy, and Defiant. I look forward to seeing it in all its new, shiny glory.

This ship has always looked like a cross between a Ravenous class(Klingon) and a D'Deridex to me. I love it!
