Hah! I guess that answers my question on if we will be seeing the Yorktown class. I'm glad this ship is showing up. It was one of the late NX era ships that I was quite fond of.
Very late Enterprise era. It was considered state-of-the-art during the time of Legacy,which took place long enough after Enterprise for Archer to refer to the NX-01 as a 'little old ship' which he was surprised Starfleet still had a use for.
By Axanar the Yorktown is looking to be roughly 60-70 years old. An old warhorse, but still solid and true.

For like the the fifth time, CTA and Axanar are separate mods. CTA is done, with the exception of a hotfix to remedy any glaring issues.

The devs' next project is a mod based on Axanar, set 20 years before the Original Series.
Every era has at least one or two ship classes that stay in service long after thier counter parts have been replaced my newer more advanced ships, TNG era had the Excelsior and the Miranda classes, and it seems the Axanar Era had the Yorktown, can't wait to see what else you magnificent guys are going to come up with next :)
Talk to the Klingons. They may act like barbarians but they're master ship builders. Their ships can be in service for centuries. :)
