A preview of the Galaxy-class by WileyCoyote
I hope to god Deanna Troi isn't at the helm.
Amen to that..
Because there's nothing scarier than a betazoid at the helm
"Special Ability Unlocked"
Troi Kamikaze is ready!
If someone skilled taught Counselor Troi how to fly a starship, and if she was willing and able to learn, she could fly it. Although until that day comes, not even I would let her anywhere NEAR the flight console.
@AdmiralQ: That does not have to apply to EVERY Betazoid. Though their telepathy could sometimes interfere with their concentration.
OMG i broke a nail on the panel, deck 5! manicure!
Very nice work!
Was a gimmick on the show....
gimmick? The Galaxy class was unusual in the fact that you could bring your wife and kids with you too, hence the number of people being over 1000 on board. In anticipated dangerous situations the saucer could seperate to keep the families safe while the engineering hull containing most of the firepower could deal with the situation. That is not a gimmmick.
Must suck when the family gets a personal house call from the Captain.
Captain: "Mrs. Kensington, I'm sorry to say, but on the last away mission, your husband was killed by some of the locals."
Mrs: "No, Jimmy!"
Captain: "Rest assured, he will be avenged. The Enterprise is in the process of carving a depiction of your husband's ***** into the planet's northern hemisphere."
Kid: "Must be a small depiction."
Captain: "Well, we had exaggerate the size."
regardless...I fail to see how a "wartime" Battleship Galaxy class would need a saucer separation...i mean unless it were to run away.
Do you know what would suck? If you somehow got that neck-mounted Phaser Array to fire when the saucer was still connected.
The two arrays at the back of the neck had an arc facing backwards, i dont see how it could fire into the saucer.
there was that one embarassing episode with the tamarian dudes though, the guys that spoke with metaphor, and when the Enterprise opened fire, the phaser beams came from the frontal torpedo tubes... i mean, come on, all those people involved with making the episode didn't think "oh wait, that's the freaking torpedo tubes, that's not right"
That mistake has been fixed on the Season 5 BluRay set.
They corrected that on the Blu-Ray remaster of Darmok.
that looks so bad ***
you have my approval and may live XD
Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god!!!! EPIC unless troi is driving, then it will be destroyed drive section and crashed saucer or she will crash it into another ship.
it's possible then!
Very nice very nice indeed.
