When I saw this ship in the movie I thought "wtf is this ****?" But somehow I start to like it when I see it now ;)

I thought SINS didn't support ship animations?

Sins does support animations to a point, but only in certain circumstances. Using an ability can trigger an animation (via a particle effect), and some persistent animations can be applied to ships (for example I theres a mod in development that has a persistent particle effect on some ships so their hulls rotate). Doing something like the intrepid nacelles upon warp is however much harder, as getting it to trigger at the right time would be extremely difficult.

Speaking of warp, one of the things i loved about the JJ trek is the warp effects. No one can deny they are awesome. Imagine that on TNG era ships!

I'm assuming you're talking about the effects WHILE in warp. I don't fancy my starships leaving a trail of pixie dust upon entering warp. A Warp Core powers my starship, not Tinkerbell.

I'm a fan on the TMP warp effects myself, so I'd have no objection to a warp entry trail. We don't have that though :D

There's a difference between a warp entry trail and a glitter trail.

they are however both trying to do something similar are they not? Don't get me wrong. I could bash JJ all day for some things, however the dusty trail isn't one of them. It's not so bad, and I see what he was trying to do :D

You just ripped the model from STO, texture and everything. I would know, I play the damn ship.
