The next great step in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. modding! An in-depth modding resource that allows players to bring first-person weapon HUD animations from S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl and its mods to the mods and games based on newer platforms (i.e. S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky and S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat, including mods based on these). The base modification for this project works with S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky (1.5.10), S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat (1.6.02) and the S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Chernobyl (1.4.22) modification while serving as an outlet for players to port weapon animations from the older games to the aforementioned newer platforms. Can be played with as is or ported to other S.T.A.L.K.E.R. modding projects. Includes optional addons by default, such as alternate sounds and replacement models.

Hello, stalkers!

Today is a great day for us all. The S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Classic Reanimated Armaments Project is now available for you all to download! In the meantime, allow me to satisfy your curiosity with a bit of extra intel that I've been able to gather since my initial announcement of this project (previous article available here).

Since the 01/10/2023, I've been through thick and thin. I've dodged everything from anomalies to military patrols over in the Cordon... Between all of this, I've always kept this project in mind. Over the past few days, I've worked tirelessly to port this mod over to S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky and S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat. I'm even more pleased to say that you can download and play this new modification with these two legendary games right now. Seek these ports out via this mod's downloads page or fast track your way over there via this link.

Initially, this mod was only going to be available to play with the S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Chernobyl modification, though I thought I'd give something back to you guys by porting it over to the latter two games of the original S.T.A.L.K.E.R. trilogy. As of this article being released, the Classic Reanimated Armaments Project can now be used with S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat and the S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Chernobyl modification. All of the juicy details and necessary installation instructions can be accessed via their download links as well as their respective readme.txt files.

There's something else that I'd like to add, too. In my initial announcement for this project, I had touched on including a few optional addons. These included replacement sound effects for the player's in-game weapons as well as giving players the option to switch between the original S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat Eliminator weapon model and the pre-release Eliminator weapon model (shown in the screenshot above) from the older S.T.A.L.K.E.R. builds. The former sound effect addons are all compatible with both the original S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Chernobyl version of the Classic Reanimated Armaments Project as well as the ports for S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky and S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat, while the latter model replacement addon for the Eliminator is only compatible with S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Chernobyl and S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat. See this link for this mod's addons page.

The optional sound addons for the Classic Reanimated Armaments Project can be accessed via downloading the S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Chernobyl version of this modification (available here).

As someone who's been modding the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games for around five to six years (let's call it five), I'm somewhat amazed that, to my knowledge, a mod like this one hasn't been made already. Still, it's been a great pleasure for me to make and port this mod between the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games. In addition to this, I've also extended addon support to this mod's page, allowing users to publish their own addons for this project if they wish to do so. I've got a tutorial that I've written up here for those who are interested in porting weapons to the newer CS/CoP games and platforms. I've also got another tutorial here for those who are just interested in porting weapons between the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games and mods in general, too.
