Crash equipping suit Thread - S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Anomaly mod for S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat

Hi,

I'm having an issues when i try to equip an ecologists suit, when i drag and drop my game crashes.

The log file prints this error:

FATAL ERROR

Although you haven't mentioned any mods, it looks like a UI mod is causing the crash.

Yeah, i was thinking the same thing. it seems to only be the ssp-99m suit that causes the crash.

If you need any other info to help, just let me know

i'm running Vodis, Vivid HD icons and Sortingplus. should i try to reinstall these mods to fix the issue?

Vodis is the only one that changes ui_custom_msgs.xml, but it doesn't make changes to the outfit HUD where the error occurs. So Vodis has replaced another mods ui_custom_msgs.xml, do you have a mod that changes outfits, specifically the mask HUD?

Reinstalling or removing Vodis will not fix this, its the other mod that isn't compatibly.

Your reply made me re-install Navs 4K masks and in doing so i realised that i missed a compatibility update for Vodis.

I run into a similar error with Anomaly 1.51 and Expedition 1.21 with the Merc Woodland Exosuit - but I am not running any other mods aside from that. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Turns out the mod author left out the files for the heavy merc suits. You have to install the HD suits - and then copy back all the files from your expedition back up.

Can you explain where these files are and how to do it? I have the same exact issue with the same anomaly versions and expedition version, but i have no idea how to fix this problem.

Ah yeah I figured out the fix.

The mod creator just left out the image files for the suit. So you have to install HD mod over the expedition mod. If you want the mercs to look like they do in expedition you then have to copy the unedited gamedata file for expedition BACK over the game folder.

Seriously had to go through some dumb trial and error to figure this out.

Hi i have a Problem when i euip the Voyager Suit, i found that people have the same problem and same Error Files except 'actor_hud_travel'.
