This makes stalkers weapons and armor conditions based on their rank, higher ranked stalkers carry well taken care of armor and weapons while lower ranked stalkers carry less so. The lowest percentage item you can get is now 30%, and the highest being 100%. Exact numbers below
*NOT COMPATIBLE WITH UPDATE 2*
[weapon drop_condition] novice = .30, .50 trainee = .40, .60 experienced = .50, .70 professional .55, .75 veteran = .65, .80 expert = .70, .85 master = .80 .95 legend = .9, 1
[outfit_drop_condition] novice = .30, .50 trainee = .40, .60 experienced = .50, .70 professional .55, .75 veteran = .65, .80 expert = .70, .85 master = .80 , .95 legend = .90, 1
Numbers are based on percentages, so .30 means 30%
Still considered OP by hardcore players but makes sense as the players equipment by those ranks is usually similar so it only makes sense that as people rank up, their experience is due to their efficiency, and its hard to be a long living stalker if your carrying around shitty weapons and armor.
Give feedback if its too OP or if it needs changed, but otherwise enjoy.
Might make a mod that removes the crap ammo carried and increases the amount of good ammo later if i figure it out.
You also now have a great reason to kill strelok so you dont have to do that awful companion quest, as he will drop his custom sig at a very high percentage, as he is considered a legend
Now works as intended, awaiting approval
Just replaced the older one. It was a little crazy getting two 100% exos from some zombies 5 minutes into the game.
Thanks for the quick turn around!
You got it, i couldnt play at 100% aswell, just testing out some of the text files
Awesome!
I love how sam hyde is the preview for this mod
well done, big thank`s for this awesome mod .
regards,
Waymor
10/10 just for Sam Hyde.
Sam is a legend, his gear will always be 100%
Hello,
I would like to make some tweaks:
- from novice to proffesional/veteran degrade all values for around 10-20%
- from veteran to master degrade for 5-15%
I think actual value is too high, and there will be no fun of spending hard earned money for repairing your armor which is really important - that must be a stalker, cant be easy :)
I might make a miserable version, but it will still be better than vanilla values, maybe all halved and leave legendary stalkers op gear, but if you wanna give me some values that are better than vanilla and reward progression please do
Not to self advertise or anything, but I do have one that is just improved conditions, not OP at all.
I made this so that you can get good condition gear, but your values are probably what some more hardcore people are looking for
Would love to see a version of this mod that's just a bit less easy

My tweaks of your mode. Not too OP, but I am still thinking if between experienced and veteran values should be more downgraded for about 10% to let master and legend be more valuable while found and stil make you to think about buying armor from any seller

i have no idea why professional rank is bugged all the time when i paste it here but any ways its value is 0.25 - 0.40 for weapon and 0.2 - 0.4 for outfit
I think this needs to be updated for update 2. I'm unable to load a game with this addon installed.
Confirmed that this addon causes crashes with the new update.
Also confirming that this addon causes the "keep one" crash for me.
Pity, I was looking forward to tweaking the values and testing them in a new playthrough.
Unpacked the default version; looks like there's a new [keep_one] section that the game's looking for and which isn't there in the older version.
Copy the keep one from an other mod... For me it was better loot. IT works for me.
Do edits to the death_generic file (and other config files for that matter) require a new game?
No
do my uppercuts...
i'm a powerlifer...
